Acrylics are fun. Even though the brand I use (Golden) costs every bit as much as most oil paints, and for some shades, even more, I feel no guilt when I get my hands in it and make a huge mess. Even when I end up with more paint on myself than on the canvas, I still don't think of the price of a tube. Oils look much prettier and when I get high off the paint thinner, the results are fare more interesting. Yet I always return to my trusty acrylics because the fact of the matter is, oil paint does not come out from underneath your fingernails easily. I experimented with texture and color in this, and if my scanner wasn't fashioned out of 1963 television set, a Polaroid camera, 27 yards of copper wiring, and three rolls of duct tape, you might even be able to dectect what I'm talking about. (Hint: examine the purplish area.) I'm sure I had something on my mind when I painted this a month ago, but like I said, it WAS a month ago. I can't possibly be expected to remember. Or at least i will claim a memory lapse because I wish not to discuss it. (Corin, think of those four letter words...)
