From Carnifex to...?

15/07/05 - Travelled to my local GW, which was packed full of screaming kids. Managed to navigate through the sea of annoying brats and purchased the new Tyranid Carnifex set, which is awseome as f**k.
16/07/05 - Began work on the project. Assembled legs and torso seperatley. At this point I began to think, should I abandon my plan of converting it into a <censored> or should I stick with it? After a few minutes indescion I decided to go ahead with the original plan (besides I can hopefully buy another at a later date).
17/07/05 - Broke out the green stuff for a mammoth session. Converted the enhanced senses head to look more like a <censored> head. added a few spikes. Looks funky. Also decided to try and use parts from the bio weapons sprue and green stuff to create a sword. Abandoned this after end result looked dodgy and no ammount of painting will detract from it I think.
21/07/05 - Started painting the so far assembled contraption, in a nice bright blue/turqoise mix. Looks rather... bright. Not sure if this will look right when its finished but then again, I want it to look different, and so far it is. Not happy with the Chitin on the back though. Even painted metal it still looks too organic. Will have to think on this.Green stuff only having a moderate effect on appearence.
24/07/05 - Have hit upon idea to solve organic back problem. Small sheets of metal, which when cut and placed correctly, and moddeled with the useful green stuff should look more like what I had in mind. Maybe add some space marine shoulder pads into the mix as well.

03/06/06 Big Interval Since last update but basically all that happened was, i finished off the metal armour plating and painted it. I then proceeded to finish painting the resto of the model, and right towards the end, got fed up and left it. Its in a serviceable state, just the odd niggly thing to tidy up if I can ever be bothered.
And so at last we come to what exactly it is i attempted to make. I attempted to use the tyranid carnifex kit, plus a few bits and bobs from a chaos daemon model, to turn a carnifex into a Greater Daemon of Chaos Undivided. I thought it would be a nice idea after reading the Daemonhunters Codex and thought to myself "if non chaos armies can now use daemons and want to summon a Generic Greater Daemon of no particular god, why not build one!" So i did. So now, for example, if Im using with Hunters up against.. oooh.. imperial guard.. and they Summon a Generic Greater Daemon, they can plonk this monstrosity on the table. I have decided to name him Urotskidoji (big scary monster theme).
