Taint (2 Points per level)

Each level of Taint represents a "pool" of points which may be spent during play. Each level counts as 1 CP. While it is nighttime, these points may spent to buy Physical advantages approved by the GM, such as claws, wings, claws etc. They may never be used to improve Appearance. They may also be used to increase St, Dx and Ht, and use the optional rules in C1 to improve Speed on its own. Each 5 levels of Taint spent in this manner reduces the characters Appearance by one level. The characters skin turns leprous, turning a tan brown and green colour, and becomes mottled and pestilant. Eyes turn red and slitted. Powers gained through use of Taint remain until Sunrise, there is no way that they can be altered until that happens, even if the vampire wants to change them. Upon Sunup, the features disappear at a rate of 1 point per minute, starting with the last powers gained and working backwards. Human Appearance is not regained until all the features are removed. If the vampire is struck by the suns rays while in Tainted Form, all his powers are painfully burned away, doing 1 point of damage for every full 10 levels used, and 1 point of fatigue for every full 5 levels. This damage heals normally. This process takes 1 second per level used, after which the vampire appears normally human.
