When Kevin Cata's AIDS medications changed, instead of discarding his unused drugs, he called on his creative childhood passions. So Cata, a.k.a. Mooshka, crafted the pills into artwork that fused his gay identity and Pueblo Indian roots--art which has saved his own life and continues to open the eyes of others about the disease. Interviews include Christine Pelkin, R.N., San Francisco General Hospital, and family members from San Juan Pueblo, New Mexico, Herman Agoya and Stella Clay.

Gay Games - Amsterdam, NL, August 1998
In 1998 Mooshka began his series of sculptures utilizing expired HIV related drugs entitled "Pill Art." During the 1998 International Gay Games Culture Arts Exhibits in Amsterdam, Netherlands, he presented both his "Pill Art" and Kachina work at a private showing. Representing North America, Mooshka received a Medal of Honor for his work.
