| The parent website, My Forever Friend, is a memorial website dedicated to a wild cottontail rabbit who lived in our backyard for exactly one year....May 1998-May 1999. His name was Shoo-Fly. Though Shoo was wild and remained that way throughout the year of our friendship, we shared a bond unlike anything I have experienced before or since. This bond has not lessened since his death on Mother's Day, May 9th., 1999. It is my hope that he now waits for me at the Rainbow Bridge...a place where animal lovers believe their departed companions go at the end of their earthly existance... and I wait for the day I will see him again. When Shoo died I made a promise to him that I would take care of his kind for the rest of my life. This promise I have kept and am only the richer for it. The Cottontail Rabbit borders on the Woodlands page are made from pictures of his offspring. To visit his memorial please click on the picture of Shoo framed above this writing.
