are a DJ/Musician team from London's East End, formed
by Anglo-Bengali brothers Farook and Haroon Shamsher.
The Shamsher brothers started out as members of London's
pioneering JOI BANGLA SOUND SYSTEM (JBSS).
Since leaving JBSS, they have become full-time DJs and

of western dance, breakbeats and techno with traditional
Asian instruments. JOI records songs using DATs, vinyl
records, on-line sampling and live percussion. Their unique
fusion of western dance with traditional Asian musical
forms has produced tracks which vary from rollercoaster
breakbeat workouts to techno-trance and sublime instrumentals
