Hale Mariamma Temple, Kaup

This picture was taken on a special pooja.  Only on special pooja the Deity with silver face is adorn with flowers and jewels.  This type of pooja is performed by the temple annually on three occasions that is in the month of March (Suggy), July (Ati) and November (Jarde).  During which Thousands of people visit the temple to witness the majestic beauty of the Deity and to seek blessings. 

Besides, a devotee can perform this pooja on every other Tuesday by requesting the temple administrators at certain nominal cost.  This is the highest pooja any individual devotee can perform to seek full blessing of the mother God.  

 

The temple is open only on Tuesdays for worship. Picture shows the Deity with a golden face for a Tuesday pooja.  Hundreds of people visit the temple on Tuesdays and currently management is serving free lunch for all devotees on that day as a part of Prasadam.
