The 1st National Dog Show organized by Chania Canine Society took place at Agioi Apostoli park, Chania - Crete.

20 dogs came for recognition and 14 of them where accepted for the 1st generation recognition books (VΕΑ1).

Gea Minois won the CAC (1st excellent in open females), Best of Breed (judges Μ. Ginala - St. Makaritis), Best of Group (judge S. Faletti (It.)) and for the first time ever for this newly recognized ancient greek breed: BEST IN SHOW (judge S. Faletti (It.)).

The 13th International Dog show organized by Athens Canine Society took place in a well organized, green ground: "Marathon Land". Results for Cretan Hound (judges Μ. Ginala - St. Makaritis):

Open Males: 1st excellent C.A.C. Talos Minois

Open Females: 1st excellent C.A.C. Gea Minois and 2nd excellent R.C.A.C. Pasiphae Minois

Junior Females: 1st excellent C.A.C. Ariadne Minois

Puppy Males: Very promising Cronos

Best of Breed: Ariadne Minois

Ariadne Minois also won: 2nd Best of Group and 3rd Best Junior in Show.

April 5-6, 2003
The first Cretan Hound recognition (Breed survey, a procedure where non pedigree dogs are examined, to ascertain if they are typical of the breed), took place in the international dog show at DIANA 2003 Hunting exhibition. 8 dogs were recognized on Saturday - including our dogs - and 4 more dogs were recognized on Sunday. (Judges commitee: Stelios Makaritis & Maria Ginala, ring steward: Andreas Katsikis - see the picture below). View our dogs' pictures from the show.
