| 19th September 2002 I've added a random quote generator to the website which will contain quotes from the Wheel of Time and Discworld books. If you have any favourite quotes from either series of books then please post them on the Forum and they may appear on the quote generator! 17th September 2002 After a long break (just over 3 months!) I've decided to get back to work on this website. I've taken out a lot of dead links from the main website and from the Forum - sadly this means that I have lost use of the chat room and guestbook as these features were provided by Beseen.com which has recently closed down. Other changes include a re-structuring of the Forum layout which should allow easier and faster page navigation, and the moving of the Fan Fiction section to the Forum's Library section. Anyway, here is some more important news on the conversion rules: The WoT conversion rules are very near completion with only the Borderlands warband still to be released, which means that (hopefully) work will soon start on the Discworld conversion rules. I'll e-mail all who were interested in the Discworld setting rules development when the time comes to get started on it. Plenty to look forward to then! 7th June 2002 Some new stuff from the WoT Team today: Two new Hirelings have been added to the current Hireling list. The two newcomers are a Thief-catcher and a Tar Valon Guard. Darkhounds from the Shadowspawn warband now have 2 attacks (instead of 1) at a cost increase of +15 gold marks - just to make them that bit more deadly. The ter'angreal have been given new more imaginative names, as the old ones were a bit too functional and boring. There is no change to these rules, just the names have changed. You can see these changes for yourself here. Version 2.2 of the WoT AB Files has been completed by Frans to include today's WoT Files additions and modifications - download it now! 1st June 2002 Firstly I have to apologise for the lack of recent updates (it's been over a month, but this was largely due to my recent exams). But don't despair as I have a few new things that may interest you: Frans completed version 2.1 of the WoT AB Files a few days ago, so if you didn't know you can download them now. We also see a new addition to the WoT conversion rules today thanks to Per ystein Tovsen who has created an alternative version of the current insanity rules. You can find these new rules in an Appendix Rules file which has been uploaded to the website now. And finally, all Aiel warband members will now contribute 10 points plus experience points to the Aiel warband rating. You can find this new addition to the rules in the WoT Campaign Modifications section. 28th April 2002 I've just put the finishing touches to the Gallery section which now has some pics of my WoT models! Don't hold your breath though, because I ain't much of a good painter! If you have any of your own images that you'd like to see in the Gallery, then don't hesitate to send them in at the usual e-mail address. I've also added a nice colour change to the website scroll-bars. Altogether a very artistic update today! 19th April 2002 The WoT team have just finished the new WoT Scenarios which are available for downloading now. If you have any of your own scenarios then feel free to post them on the Forum and I might just put them on the website for you... 13th April 2002 If you've been reading the messages on the Forum, you may have noticed that Chris Taylor has just finished some new WoT themed roster sheets. Well you can download the roster sheets as Word documents in a WinZip file from the WoT Files section now! They really are very good, and they are very useful for the WoT conversion too (you don't have to write down big lists of weaves and sword forms on the back of the Mordheim rosters any more!). |
