Uncle Tom’s Wood Furniture seeks to provide quality solid wood furniture that will last for generations. Unlike everyday furniture stores, Uncle Tom’s furniture is made with care, patients, and craftsmanship to bring a level of elegance to your home that you cannot find anywhere else.
Crafting From the Ground Up
In building Uncle Tom’s website, it was important to provide as much information to customers as possible to they would know what they were getting and how to take care of their wood furniture once it was settled into their homes. On the Images page, customers will find helpful pictures of the various woods used by Uncle Tom as well what the furniture looks like with a beautiful natural finish.
An Attractive Finish
In addition to the images of complete works by Uncle Tom, we wanted to provide a way for customers to tell Uncle Tom what type of wood furniture they most want. So please see our Order page to see all the options available from Uncle Tom.
Uncle Tom wanted his website to reflect the purpose of his business through the appearance of his website, but he wanted it to be simple and pleasing to the eyes. Natural brown colors were chosen as the color scheme for Uncle Tom’s website to give the website a feel of reading material from a wooden background. Effort was made to make each page’s appearance similar while still displaying new content to help transition from page to page feel seamless and natural to customers.
What Could Have Been
If more time and resources were available Uncle Tom would have like to have more seamless animations between pages. For example, to when a link was clicked have the current page fade out and the new page fade in for aesthetic purposes. Future updates would include images of future complete works, new woods introduced into Uncle Tom’s selections. Videos montages of Uncle Tom building furniture would be additional content Uncle Tom would like to introduce into his video library.
