Ken: Your Digimon were all at the soccer game in the real world. I remember now! You are real.... not just computer data. I can't believe that I never figured that out!!
Demiveemon: You know for an evil genius you really are a slow learner, Ken.
Davis: And you've been constantly abusing Digimon ever since you claim to be the Digimon emperor.
Ken: I had no idea. What have I done? *flashback to the first episodes* I thought my dark rings were a stroke of genius. I never realized I was causing pain! I made them work for me tirelessly without ever giving them a break! *voice breaks* And I was cruel to them beyond imagination! Aarg, I'm a monster!! I can't believe what I've done!!
TK: It's hard to argue with you there, Ken, you've done some pretty horrible stuff.
Kari: The important thing is that you realize what you've done, and it's not too late to make a frest start.
Ken: WHAT HAVE I DONE?! *starts wailing and rips off his Digimon emperor clothes. They disenegrate and he is left crying in the desert sand as his true self.*
Kari: *gasps* Wormmon!
Ken: *shakily* ....Wormmon?
Gatomon: He's still breathing.....
*Ken gets up and walks over to face the Digidestened. Wormmon lays hurt in the sand, struggling to hold on.*
Wormmon: You've returned to your old self. I knew you could do it, Ken.
Ken: I'm sorry, it's too late for me
Wormmon: It's never too late to be sorry
Davis: Wormmon's absolutely right, Ken!
*Davis's hand starts glowing pink and out of it comes the crest of
Kindness. The Digidestined gasp as it flies, stops, and hovers in front of Ken*
TK: Where'd you get that thing, Davis?
Davis: I found it in the sand. Why?
I'm not sure, but it looks like one of the crests we used to have in the old days.
Kari: You're right, TK, and it has the crest of kindness on it!
Ken: But why is it coming to me?
Wormmon: Because it belongs to you, Ken. It's the crest of kindness.
Ken: There must be some mistake. I've been anything but kind.
Gatomon: That's what Wizardmon ment when he told us kindness will release the golden raidence. Ken must be the key to unlocking the power.
Wormmon: I told you that deep inside you were kind...
*Ken walks over and holds Wormmon in his arms*
Ken: Wormmon, I'm sorry, don't go. You're my best friend...
Wormmon: You're my best friend too. Goodbye Ken.
*Wormmon leans against Ken, closes his eyes, and disentigrates in his arms*
Ken: Wormmon! No!
Davis: He's gone, Ken.
Ken: He... can't... be!
Not again! Wormmon's gone just like my brother! *flashback* I was helpless to save him and now I can't save Wormmon either. Why do I keep losing people?! *falls and starts sobbing*
I came to the digital world to get away from all those feelings but I just can't escape!!
Davis: *flashback of Ken's parents* There's still people who love you.
Ken: *still sobbing, he gets up on his feet and starts to walk away* I gotta go...
Davis: *yells after Ken* Don't walk away from your problems, let us help you, Ken!! You're digidestined, join us!!
*Ken keeps walking, crying, and he doesn't look back*
Cody: I wonder where he's going, I hope he'll be okay.
