Ken "The Rocket" Ichijouji. Genius, soccer star, constantly surrounded by fangirls. That's what they said in the magazines and news reports, but what they didn't say was that the person claiming to be Ken Ichijouji was a dark-seeded shadow of his former, kind self. |

When he was around 8 or so, Ken was implanted with a dark seed, or dark spore. (Read more on his past and how he got it here) At first, it the pain was excruciating, but Ken soon adjusted and the dark seed took root. |

The Dark seed is a drop of pure darkness. It makes one's wishes come true, but with a few side effects. Ken wanted to be noticed by his parents, and felt he needed to replace Sam, so the dark seed made him more athletic and intelligent. At first, everything was great! Ken was getting the attention he always wanted, but then he grew tired of it, which turned to annoyance, which turned to hatred. |

Insects. Lowly insects which needed to be squashed. Ken felt as if he was higher than everybody else, and so he distanced himself from his parents and any friends he ever had. He became cold, and his true personality was completely lost. It's the side effect of the dark seed; it take total control of one's body and turns them evil. |

Ken's dark seed was the first. Oikawa copied it and implanted it into kidnapped children, so that when the evil grew inside of them it would be enough dark energy for Myotismon to take his ultra mega form. When the dark seed is copied and implanted, it is unable to simply inhabit it's host's body. It'll grow out and turn them into a "dark tree", so it can only have temporary effects before it must be removed. |
| The dark seed feeds off of depression and darkness, so if the host begins to believe in themself, make friends, and return to their former personality, the dark seed with cease to grow. |
