Projects are a part of my life now. I am working on various international projects. Let me tell you what I have learnt so far and am still learning from these projects.
These projects have taught me how to think. What to think. I have become confident and can express my thoughts and ideas to anyone without hesitation. I have developed a lot of presentation and communication skills. I have learnt and am still learning the tact of diplomacy. These projects have taught me how to avoid conflicts between thoughts and ideas, how to solve the conflicts which is very important in life. I have grown in the past 2 years from a person who first thought only about herself to a person who know thinks about others.
One of the most important things I have learnt from these projects is, to take the opportunity (on working with such projects) that falls right into your lap. Don't think about the outcome of the project, just do it and you will learn. So never miss such an opportunity.
I have made some really wonderful friends from all around the world. I would never have made these friends sitting in the four walls of my home.
I use my time usefully and in a fruitful manner, which other wise I would have spent in front of the TV or something like that.
Know I am interested in so many other fields like mass communication, journalism, and event management that I have broadened my own horizons to choose a career from myself.
I am not a brilliant student in academics an average one, the most important thing I have learnt from all these projects is that there is something more in life than just studying, studying and giving exams, 10th and 12th Grades (which is given a big hype in India) there is much more than that. Our life is very short to do so many things, you should not wait, you should just go ahead and do what ever you want to do.
Here are some of the ongoing projects I am working on:
Nation1 is a network of young people. Nation1 was one of the outcomes from the Junior Summit held in MIT Media Lab Boston in '98. I am one of the coordinators of Nation1 and am the Secretary of the Nation1 foundation.
Nation1 Presentation in the 7th Annual iEARN Conference Beijing China.
The second outcome of the Junior Summit was the Junior Journal. This is an online magazine of young people where they can share their thoughts, ideas and concerns about what is going on around them to everyone. I am one of the reporters, and editors of the Junior Journal. Recently The Junior Journal won the Global Youth Challenge Award.

articles I have contributed for the Junior Journal.
iEARN - (International Education and Resource Network)
While working with Nation1 I came across another project called iEARN. iEARN connects teachers and students from all around the world through telecommunications. I attended the 7th Annual iEARN conference in Beijing China. Right now I am working with
iEARN India and am one of the student facilitator of iEARN India.
A group of iEARN Indian student facilitators along with a student facilitator from Bulgaria, we have started a new project in iEARN called Value of money in life. The aim of this project is to make young people aware that money has a lot of value in life, and that it should be use in a proper and useful manner. This is the 1st totally youth initiated iEARN India projects.
Value of Money in our life has won the “Most Commended Project of the year 2001-2002” by The Cable and Wireless sponsored ChildNet Awards.
My friend Soujanya and I gave a workshop on Value of Money in the 8th International iEARN Conference held in South Africa in July 2001 held at Cape Town
Child Labour Project:
I am also contributing some of my free time to the iEARN child labour project. I really enjoy working on it.
I have also worked on the following projects:
The Junior Summit was where it all started. I will never forget that day it was Dessera (one of the very auspicious days in Hindu religion) when I got an email that I was one of the 100 delegates selected to go to MIT Media Lab Boston to attend the Junior Summit. Today when I recall it, it all feels like a dream. That one-week is the most treasured moments of my life.
Some treasured moments from The Junior Summit in the
school and in Boston.
Peace Mural:
I have also been one of the participants in the Peace Mural, which was one of the iEARN projects. It was a pleasure working on this project. I have treasured some very fond memories while working on the Peace Mural.

Planet Project:
3com's Big Idea project or the planet project was a very different experience working on this project as one of the Youth Panelists from India. I was supposed to ask a question to the world. Well I enjoyed every moment working on this one.
