LABORATORY FOR VIRTUAL DESIGN OF MINIATURIZED DEVICES
LVMD
The laboratory for virtual design of miniaturized devices was established at Wayne State University in 2008 involving experts from several interdisciplinary fields to practically meet the design and development needs of miniaturized devices. The laboratory provides services in the fields of fluid mechanics, solid mechanics, heat transfer and surface modification technologies. However, the primary goal is the virtual design of miniaturized devices by multiscale computational engineering that involves advanced computational model development, modification of the existing models, and transfer of key information among various computational and experimental methods.
