"It is a wonderful tool to keep the voice trained and the
mind sharp. Working with others to achieve a beautiful sound is so
fulfilling. No matter how tired I am at the end of the work day, I usually
feel refreshed after rehearsal." |
Membership & Purposeus shout aloud to the Rock of our salvation. Let us come before Him with thanksgiving and extol Him with music and song."-Psalm 95:1-2
LUCC is a relatively new Lipscomb tradition that springs from generations of musical tradition.
The singing of a capella sacred music by choruses has long been a major part of Lipscomb.
More than that, individuals who love to sing have always found at Lipscomb a place to share
that talent with each other in choral ensembles. That is why LUCC was formed in the 1997-98
school year. Now adults that have always wanted to sing in a chorus can join with those who
used to sing in a chorus and want to continue that love for choral singing.
LUCC is a non-audition group that is open to any interested singers. Because members of LUCC
are not enrolling in a school class there are not the same rigid rehearsal attendance requirements.
The expectation is that members attend as frequently as their family and work responsibilities
allow. Every member is important to the group.
