Initially
to manage Y2K activities, the company had Configuration and Change Process
issues that directly impacted the completion of the Y2K project.
Additional tasks involved the setup of a Configuration and Change
Management process to manage all software for SRG, effectively creating an
infrastructure and methodology as a foundation for a future systems development
life cycle (SDLC) process.
Simon Richards Group (SRG) is a multi-million dollar tele-marketing and advertising company linked to the Village/Roadshow and Austerio companies. SRG also acquired another tele-marketing company, DataSell Strategic Marketing Services, at York Street South Melbourne.
The main programming language environments are Visual Foxpro and MS Access97.
I managed the Y2K process and infrastructure restructure for both SRG and DataSell, with a contract staff of 8, and two staff from Village/Roadshow. The contract was initially scheduled to complete in 5-6 weeks, extended to 3.5 months.
