Colonial Mutual/Jacques Martin Industry Fund Administration (JMIFA)

 

Main Duties

Provide central point of contact to and from the Colonial change control process and the Colonial change control committee.

Represent JMIFA at the weekly Colonial change control meeting.

Ensures all JMIFA initiated changes have a change request form (RFC) submitted for review and approval before the change is implemented, or for emergency changes that the RFC is completed as soon as possible.

Ensures that all changes have had an appropriate level of testing prior to implementation.

Ensures a post implementation test plan is established using appropriate business representatives.

Ensures a regression plan is established and communicated prior to change authorisation.

Liases with business representatives to ensure that an appropriate level of business preparation and testing has been met prior to implementation.

Liases with business representatives to ensure that the timing of changes will not compromise any business schedules or other planned activity.

Reviews all change requests for completeness and for scheduling conflicts with other change requests.

Resolves any scheduling conflicts through negotiation with the impacted parties and escalates any unresolved conflicts to appropriate IT and business management for conflict resolution.

Ensures authorisation is received from relevant parties before a change is introduced into production.

Revised the JMIFA change control procedure to include the RFC Registry system.

Project Scope

Manage production change requests and resolve problems/issues as they arise.

The Company

Colonial Mutual, recently acquired by the Commonwealth Bank, provides IT support for Jacques Martin Industry Fund Administration (JMIFA) which provides superannuation administration and advisory management for many superannuation funds throughout Australia.

The IT group is divided into infrastructure support teams located at 353 Lt. Collins Street, and the main IT development group located at Casselden Place, Lonsdale Street.

The IT resourcing was recently outsourced to the resourcing company EDS.

Note:    Commonwealth Bank has sold off its stake in JMIFA.

Created MS Access systems to:

Manage the reporting and tracking of all Request For Change (RFC) MS Word documents.

Reporting and data manipulation for the Finance group of accounting data from the LandMark accounting system.

The data entry and reporting for the Finance group of EFT data.
