Saving Documents

Answers


  1.  It is important to save often so that work is not lost when the computer shuts down or the power goes off.

  2.   = Drop-Down Arrow. Click this arrow to select from the drop-down list.

  3.  Either Save or Save As can be selected from a File menu to save a document.

  4.   = Save Toolbar Button

  5.  Change the location of the document by changing the Save In box.

  6.  Change the file's name in the File Name box.

  7.  If a folder appears in the Save As dialog box window, left-click on it once and then click on the Open button.

  8.  If you decide not to save after the Save As dialog box appears, click on the Cancel button or the Close ("X") button.

  9.  Do not change the Save As Type box until you have more experience with file extensions.

10.  Save to a disk by inserting the disk, then either selecting 3-1/2 Floppy (A:) from the Save In drop-down list or right-clicking on the document icon, opening the Send To submenu and selecting 3-1/2 Floppy (A).
