SRR Ra`KalenChapter Ninety-Seven: Altogether Now
[Oira, SNR Kalen]

The Rihanssu sauntered to the center chair, turning his head from one side to the other getting a good view of his crew. tr`Raith gave him command of the Kalen with specific orders and he was here to do that, nothing more.

"All departments report!!", he hoped that applying SF command experience on a Rihanssu warship wouldn't be that different from what the crew was accustomed to. But he had no choice.

"Rekkhai, incoming hail from SNR Ullho'Isha", replied the COMM officer.

"Audio only"

"Acknowledge the transmission"

"Ie, Rekkhai"

"This is the SNR Ullho`Isha, Identify your allegiance"

" This is the SNR Kalen, Erie`Riov Kandeen Who am I speaking to?", asked tr`Kandeen.

"erie`Arrain tr`Kuro, You`d better explain to me why Raith isn`t in command of that vessel immediately"

"Raith is currently on the J`tol, I am acting CO until further instructions are given"

tr`Kandeen looked around and looked at tr`Elq again. "Who was that?"

"tr`Kuro sir, tactical officer", he replied as the senior officer nodded.

"Ullho to Kandeen", the same voice crackled again.

"Go ahead"

"Request that you lower your sheilds and beam t`Pranara over. Medical assistance is required"

"Affirmative, but why don`t you beam them over here?"

"First I need a staff and second, I myself require assitance to run the vessel"

"Understood. Kalen out"

tr`Kandeen shifted his position and worked on a console searching for t`Pranara. She was in sickbay.

"tr`Kandeen to t`Pranara, au are needed to beam over to the Ullho'Isha now. There is an emergency"

"Ie Rekkhai"

The senior Rihanssu shifted again, leaning back. "Beam her over now!"

tr'Nerik in the medical bay onboard the SNR Kalen was flustered but still with spirit. He glanced over some of the troop members giving them praises or congratulations but really, to him, they all were more than menkha. A more... vriha ra'haiin (superior enlightment) was required.

Suddenly a familiar voice hit his ears.

"Ah, I see you're doing well," tr'Nerik said.

Tasrek Idran grinned faintly. "Au did well too."

"Hann'yyo."

The fellow Arrain nodded and placed a reassuring hand on a troop member that was scarred by a disrupter hit. The officer nodded miserably but with respect.

"Oira'd'a." (I'm going to the bridge.)

tr'Nerik acknowledged with a nod and Tasrek went off. He turned then to a more distasteful course of business.

"Daise'maenek..." he called out.

Meira crisply motioned her to him holding a multicorder to a patient, surrounded by security.

"Isha'mael!" the patient growled.

tr'Nerik grinned, the first grin in a long time. "Hnafirh'a Mnhei-sahe au telsol." (I see your Ruling Passion's ambition.)

"Au lliu'd mi." (You have nothing (against) me.)

"Rha-rh'e?" (Oh really? (sarcasm)

The Regent was silent in his gallant boldness that made tr'Nerik nearly burst into laughter.

"Au'e th'ann. *AU* lliu'd na!" (You are the prisoner, YOU have nothing now.)

He was once again silent as t'Kethry continued scanning him in half-procedural duty and half-distraction. She completed it and stepped back a bit. The Regent crossed his arms and gave tr'Nerik a long threatening look.

"Then we have nothing to say." He directed a look to the six security guards, specialized gai'shain-a (warriors (relating to marines). With a subtle, condescendence to the Regent, he lightly ordered, "Ne th'ann a 'hriah." (Take the prisoner to the brig)

He watched them, with slight resistance as the Regent kept his fake proud stance and movement, stroll out of the medical bay with an atmosphere of concerned silence. The minister of ch'Brill, a pure politician with little military experience. He probably lived the grand life making his way with blackmail and forging less than favorable alliances. Perhaps the Regent's clan and friends had power and he squandered it

Daise'Maenek t'Kethry let out an audible sigh. "Surprisingly, he's fine. Been through only a day of Arreinye in his whole life probably."

tr'Nerik said little, he was thinking about what to do next. His team was to assassinate him, well, *he* was to as Raith clued in before this mission. He learned towards him to do it since Idran was newer and anyway he was assured that he would've done it for sure with no hesitation. Raith was right... supposedly.

"Arrain?" she intoned.

"Ie? Oh, Meira. Ie, the Regent is a dha'rudh (idiot) pretending."

She nodded slightly. "I would jol a match of Llaekh-ae1rl Gai'Vor with him." (Laughing Murder - Rihannsu martial arts - The "peaceful war" one-on-one part)

tr'Nerik lifted his brows in surprise. "Au? Llaekh-ae1rl? I didn't know."

"I tried it once with someone who knew it very well. Practiced it myself and I've tried it in the HIC." (holographic imaging chamber)

"Gai'Vor though?" tr'Nerik glanced at her, the Regent snake deserved more punishment.

"I have my own own version of a peaceful war..." She smiled at the Arrain and walked away.
