SRR Ra`KalenChapter Ninety-Two: Nerik and the Regent
[Planet's Surface]

tr'Nerik breathes in the coarse, searing air around him. Small fires are abrush but he hears the sounds of loyal traitorous men putting them out. The hollers of anyone, no one, are heard across the compound's area. The selectively streamlined and polished-up urban area of buildings and streets banged up as if desecrated. tr'Nerik> =COM= Mi team members, report!

tr'Idran> ::runs up to the hill:: I came as fast as I could. ::has two men following behind, one is cradling an arm and the other has scratches and nicks all over::

tr'Nerik> You've been through Arreinye.

tr'Idran> Speak for yourself.

tr'Nerik glances down at his hands and touches his face. He had forgotten his team of 4 had gotten into a skirmish as well with several guards. Kalehs had been drawn. Later, they were almost killed by an explosive charge.

tr'Nerik> ::glances around:: =COM= tr'Remi, tr'Riam, report!

tr'Idran> Perhaps... ::silently but audibly:: yy'a (dead).

tr'Nerik> Ra'haiin na riol, fiv d'lliu ('nothing wise to enlighten then do nothing')

tr'Nerik> Lhoel, scans.

He turns to the officer who was surprising kri (finish) since he had started a couple moments before and looked up.

tr'Lhoel> I'm detecting faint signs of Remi... he may be moving away from my range. Riam is not to be sound.

tr'Nerik is about to utter something when suddenly he hears disrupter fire. Officers of his team are running to their position in this hill bunker, aiming their disrupter heads at the dha'rudh who are trying to shoot them down. One of the Regent's men is caught in his stomach and a vaporizing green hole takes him down. The other is hit in the leg by tr'Idran with remarkable aim.

tr'Nerik> Wait! dont' finish that man off. Team members all assemble and share data. tr'Radaik and t'Lar come with me.

tr'Idran acknowledgingly nods to tr'Nerik as he assembles what's left of the team. By now tr'Nerik judges 3 from his, 2 from Idran, and 4 from the rest making it twelve with everyone and Remi. He casted the thought of Riam out of his mind but underneath had the emotional conception that he was gone.

tr'Nerik> ::directs:: Radaik get his weapon and search him. Lar let's make sure he doesn't yy'a just yet.

The medical officer glances down, her seemingly frail yet bold face analyzing the downed Rihanha with her multicorder. She takes an suspension injector from her field kit and pushes it into the officer's neck.

tr'Lar> He should be fine now. The disrupter didn't 'bleed' and result in neural damage but he was knocked out hard.

Regent Guard> Kllhe... ::mutters incoherently but is unable to get up::

tr'Nerik> You are in no position to be insulting anyone my young apprentice

tr'Lar and Radaik> Sir? ::confused::

tr'Nerik> ::light grin:: Nothing. Take him to the bunker.

Regent Guard> Vrrul, au yy'a thllen! (fool, you should kill me now)

tr'Nerik> Au na audh, d'har llhaes poridin (you should not be speaking, the hill can be your open sky grave)

Regent Guard> ::mutters but has a glint of wanting to live as a weak one::
