tr'Ragarok beamed back onto the Kalen, along with his new "friend". After releasing the haughty Rihannsu into the custody of security, tr'Ragarok headed to his lab to check for any damage. The door to science slid open as usual, and tr'Ragarok made a quick scan around.
Nothing important was damaged, although some of the subspace folding genetically engineered hamsters seemed to have escaped. "Hmm, hope they didn't spook anyone around the ship before they departed to subspace. They look awfully like rodents, and can phase in and out of space-time. Oh, well." tr'Ragarok quickly ran some more diagnostics. His secret projects- the ones not even the commander knew about- all seemed to be intact. One of them, a specialized shield whose principles could not even begin to be fathomed by the greatest scientific minds of the UCIP and Ragarok's life's work, continued to protect the lab and be undetected by even the most sophisticated of scanners. tr'Ragarok doubled, tripled, quadrupled checked this before heading off to the Senior staff meeting.
tr'Ragarok sat through the short meeting, until Raith asked about the
current situation. tr'Ragarok piped up almost immediately. "If I may, rekkhai, in my scientific opinion, I believe we should press on.
If we reset the experiment now, all the controls and variables will have to be readjusted and the next time the subjects will be able to adjust to our methods. Right now is our best chance to finish it's experiment, and Science stands ready to do so." tr'Ragarok sat down, very proud of himself. Whether this was bravery or stupidity remained to be seen...
