Miera sat beside her aunt, nervously fiddling with the sleeve of her
uniform. Beside her chair stood one of the bags with most of what she
possessed. Den chuckled, shaking her head as she watched her neice.
She could tell that she was nervous about her new post on the Kalen.
"Miera...relax..au are acting like au is headed toward au death
sentance..." Den replied as she sipped her tea. Miera brushed a lock
of dark hair from very striking green eyes and smiled.
"I appologize Aunt. I guess I am just..nervous about this. I
mean..this is quite an honor..." Miera replied as Den grinned. She sat
back in her chair and sighed, remembering her first command on the
Rakholh.
"Well...au will survive this..and make au family very proud." She
replied as the waiter came back to refill her tea.
"I will have to get au to the ship soon..so au will na be late.."
Miera nodded, finishing off her drink and standing up. Den stood up
and moved to pay for their drinks, leaving the small cafe. As Den and
Miera entered the transport they chatted about Miera's parents.
"How is au Mother..I heard she is travelling again.." Den replied
"Ie...her duties take her all over..and she..as my Father says, drags
him along also" Den chuckled, shaking her head.
"But he enjoys it..I know he does..otherwise he would na agree to go.."
" We are about to dock, Rekkhai.." the Erien replied as Den smiled
nodding.
"Mehnka..Hann`yyu" Den replied, turning to Miera. "Au Father had
wanted to see au off, but of course au Mother interviened.." Den said
standing up as they left the transport.
"Ie..I know. They thought it best that I say my good-byes at
home...but I do appreciate au coming with me Aunt.." She said as they
walked to the docking ring where the Kalen was. Den handed Miera her a
oblong package, smiling at her neice.
"Mehnka Luck, Miera.." Den replied as Miera bowed to her, out of
respect, and headed to go aboard. She was shown to her quarters as she
reported aboard. They were spartan but big enough for her. She sat
down on the bed, looking around at her new home. This certainly was
going to be an experience she thought as she began to unpack.

tr'Kuro is striding down a hall on the Kalen headed toward engineering when he
is stopped by tr'Raith.
tr'Raith> Kuro, ::stops him in the hall:: I need you to pick up our Med
officer.
tr'Kuro> ::nods::Yes, sir
tr'Raith> we have a go ahead from all the trackers. She is at the station,
docked on what she believes is the Kalen. Be advised, she isn't expecting you.
tr'Kuro> Your sending me to acquire an unadvised officer on a base, go it. What
means?
tr'Raith> She is not to be harmed, Kuro. Use whatever means you need.
tr'Kuro> ::nods:: understood. ::turns and walks toward the airlock::
tr'Raith> And one more thing, Erein...
tr'Kuro> ::turns around::
tr'Raith> Our Acting First Officer, erein tr'Shaleya shall meet you at the
Starbase 220. He she'll be in charge from there
tr'Kuro> Understood, sir.
[Starbase 220]
tr'Kuro> ::turns off the cloaking device, requesting entrance::
t'Kethry> Who is it? ::approaches the door::
tr'Kuro> ::requests entrance again remaining silent::
t'Kethry> ::opens the door, hesitantly::
tr'Kuro>::pushes in administering a hypo spray::
t'Kethry> Wha...! ::loses consciousness from the drugs::
tr'Kuro>::catches her slipping the sheet around her carefully::
tr'Kuro grumbles realizing she's unpacked, and sets her down, carefully. He
begins to stuff her things into her bags.
[ Light Scoutship Eihafvarh, en route to ch'Revellian]
Ruanek tr'Shaleya set on the bunk in the aft compartment of the light scoutship
looking at the young woman who was sleeping on the opposite bunk. This was none
else then the Kalen's new chief medical officer Erein Meira tr'Kethry, tr'Kuro
"kidnapped" earlier. Finally, she stirred a bit, opened her eyes and set up on
the bunk, obviously trying to figure where she was.
"Ahh... you finally come around..." Ruanek looked at her smiling.
She growled turning in his direction "What is the meaning of this?"
"You are being transferred to your ship, that's all," Ruanek smiled again. "By
the way, I am Erein Ruanek tr'Shaleya... operations officer and acting first
officer of the RSE Kalen," he nodded politely.
"I *was* On my ship!" the young woman growled again, "why was I knocked out?"
she said in demanding tome.
"Well..." Runakek was still half-smilinr "Au see... it is na that simple... The
ship au were on was na the *real* Kalen"
She narrowed her eyes at him. "ah..I see... and that erxplains being knocked
out?"
"Our mission is classified..." Ruanek explaine "the ship you've got on was but a
decoy. And as for knocking au out... I think our tactical offiver, Erein tr'Kuro
got a bit overzealous here," he grinned, "I apologize, llhei"
"That is na excuse!" Meira snapped sharply. "Am I..as the Medical officer
suppose to *know* about things ont he ship? Or am I to be...how do au say..kept
inthe dark about things there too?"
"By no means..." Ruanek smiled... she just growled in responce.
"We just had to sneak you out from the decoy ship without anyone noticing..." he
went on ignoring her obvious hostility (as a matter of fact he could understan
her pretty well, bit he had his duties) "especially that relative of yours."
She stood placing her hands on her heaps. "And which 'relative' would that be?"
she demanded.
"Your aunt?" Ruanek half-smiled.
"What about my Aunt?"
"I mean no offense... but you see, she's been living among lloann'nar for quite
some time... considering the delicate nature of the Kalen's mission, you surely
understand that we can na take chances."
She frowned. "But that was na reason to knock me out!"
"As I said..." Ruanek smiled at her again patiently, "our tactical officer has
gotten a bit overzealous here.... and I apologize"
She regarded him, still frowning. "I...I accept," she finally said rubbing her
side, "Although I think he was a bit rough also... Meira Leijna t`Kethry," the
woman saluted him. "...Although I am sure au knew that," she added after a
pause.
"I do, rha," he smiled. "He was just told to bring you here... quietly," Ruanek
shook his head."
"Well... he has to work on his approach," she frowned again.
Ruanek chuckled. "Well... you can find him in the cockpit if you want to tell
him that."
"Na....I am a bit angry right now..it would na be a pretty picture."
"Wise decision," he smiled at her. She smirked. "Au want some ale?" Ruanek
approached the small table where a bottle of bilue liquid and a few glasses were
standing.
"For him or for me?" she demanded.
"For both?" Ruanek grinned.
"Hann`yyu," she said still rather dryly.
Ruanek snickered. "'Hann`yyu ie' or 'Hann`yyu na'?"
She glared at him and said with heavy sarcasm. "Hann`yyu na"
Picks the bottle from the table, Ruanek poured its contents into 2 glasses
offering one to Meira. She accepted it, still glaring at him, her green eyes
flashing.
"Au are still mad at me, are au na?" he smiled at her. He decided that she was
actually rather pretty this way.
"Is it *that* obvious?" she said again sarcastically downing her ale.
"Quite so," Ruanek smiled again taking a long casual sip from his glass.
"Mehnka..I was na sure I was coming accross to au..." she snapped still glaring.
Ruanek grinned at her. "Considering I am 1/4 Atlantian... I tend to notice
things... even if I do na necessarily show it"
"I see we both have something in common..." she smirked.
"How so?" he arched his eyebrow, still not letting his smile completely
disappear from his face.
"I am half.... Mother's side..." she responded. "Au did na know that?"
"You see... they even keep me in the dark on some things," he frowned - truth to
be told, all this secrecy was starting to get on Ruanek's nerves as well. He was
not exactly the kind of person who enjoyed this, especialy since he saw no real
need to classify all the personnel files to this extent.
Before Meira even had a chance to reply however, tr'Koro's voice brokr through
the intercom. "Approaching ch'Revellian, rekkhai, you beter come over to the
cockpit."
"Already on my way," Ruanek acknowladged, then turned to Meira. "You want to
come with me and take a look?"
