SRR Ra`KalenChapter One Hundred-Fifty-Four:
Nerik Finishes His Tale
[Mess, Several Days Ago]

tr'Nerik finished his story and an amused look spread across Meira's face. "Au thoughts?" he asked.

"It's quite... 'interesting'..."

"Oh?" By this time, an ale previously set down by the bartender, who only went by the name of Slliu, was half-finished next to Nerik. He cupped the glass in his hands, thinking about what kind of reaction t'Kethry had. Hopefully she had found it a new window to him.

"I'm glad au shared it with me."

He lifted his left brow, a habit that he thought he eluded years ago but suddenly it came back to him as if his face was still the taut and freshness it was then.

"Well, those narcotics acted like the force of elements. I was not sure whether I would live."

"You really did believe you saw wraiths?"

"Well... I saw my version of Arreinye wraiths."

She had a slight grin enhancing her perfectly clear amusement to the tale. He had been very blunt about this certain venture into his 'lost' etrehh files that ignited old painful memories. The Rhedullian 'crystals', a popular narcotic then, had truly been a menace which in retrospect had made tr'Nerik very sad, almost ashamed of himself. She found it refreshing that he would share such turmoil with her.

"It's an interesting story. Hann'yyo," she thanked with a nod, drawing away the amusement and replacing it with warmer more obvious interest.

tr'Nerik picked up the signal and nodded back with a slight smile. He turned back to the bar, regarding his empty glass and called out, "Slliu, one sparkling flask... of leh'khej." (Rihannsu wine from the lehe'jhme fruit)

Slliu glanced up with his brazen face, subtle apparitions which showed signs of untold feats adjusting themselves appropriately along his ridges and cheek bones. With a smirkhe hollored back. "What is the occasion lluadh? Au battled with Kll'inghann'su thrai hand to hand?" (sneaky person as a nickname, Klingon predators)

"I feel like it."

"I might dare charge au," Slliu playfully threatened as he walked over taking out a bottle of leh'khej.

He began pouring him a crystal flask of the wine.

"Maenek?" tr'Nerik asked, regarding t'Meira.

She breathed in some air and nodded, her perceptible respect for him breaking out from constraints. "Ie, I feel like it too."
