SRR Ra`KalenChapter One Hundred-Thirty-Five:
Kuro speaks with Raith
[SNR Kalen: Brig]

Kuro watches the other officer's depart at Raith's order. Elq awaits as Kuro turns to meet Raith's gaze. He watches Raith's eyes for a moment. Then his view darts across the few armed escorts Raith brought with him. A slight smile tugged at his lips as he recognized the guards. TrKunto and Tr'Caine. Tr'Kunto he recalls from a few "chance meetings". Caine he had met only once in a bloody battle overtaking a small band. That was way back. After that strange pause he remembered the situation and focused on Raith again.

tr'Kuro> A moment aside, Rekkai.

tr'Raith>::nods and turns, striding toward a secluded corner::

Tr'Kunto>::de-activates the containment field and drags Kandeen up onto his feet::

tr'Kuro>::gets an empathic impression that Kunto is upset about cleaning up yet another body due to "Kuro following orders"::

tr'Elq>::watches with mild indifference::

tr'Caine>::steps up to assist Kunto::

tr'Raith>::comes to a halt- safely beyond the hearing range of the other officer's::

tr'Kuro>::pauses a step behind him:: Three questions, one statement

tr'Raith>speak...

tr'Kuro> One, as you know, Kandeen was found inadequate as a replacement for you- hence the reaction: Loyalty tests being the primary transgression. Two ::takes a prolonged look over Raith:: Where is the new uniform from? Three, why white? And as the denouement, What is the game plan here, since Kandeen failed to position us as I was told we should be poised?

tr'Raith> On the matter of Kandeen... ::pauses organizing thought:: He is used to a different 'style' of ship- and, in his right, with in bounds of his post. In this particular situation, with this crew especially, the mix failed to run as cohesively as I had anticipated. Though I am informed of the events ::lowers voice further:: as my Tal`shiar alignment leaves me privy to all of Nerik's posts ::returns to normal level:: But with that I am perhaps still not entirely informed. Regardless, what's done is done - we must move on. In response to the second question: It is the new standard issue duty uniform of the Republic - there is one in your quarters on the Ts`irk. Assuming you are referring to my hair... I felt like a change. ::grins:: sort of faux 'old and respectable' look. Game plan- I will elaborate more in an hour on the Ts`Irk - we are hitting the lowlands and, hopefully, inciting massive rebellion in the empire. ::pushes a loose strand of hair away from his eyes:: is there anything else, Arrain?

tr`Kuro>::switches his disruptor to his other hand, taking a moment to digest and consider the points made:: ...That should be all.. ::pauses again:: Thats not a standard rank Rekkhai...

tr'Raith> ::shakes head:: quite standard - simply a field supplement...::grins:: {{think of me as a 'Head Soldier' for the time being}}

tr'Kuro> oh... You've promoted yourself again then? ::nods and grins:: that will be all then EnArrain ::salutes::

Tr`Raith> ::nods in return:: Ie

Raith splits off and exits the room, headed in the direction of the turbo lift. Kunto and Caine stood awaiting him in the lift , Kandeen slumped in their arms. Kuro nods to Raith once more and approaches Elq, saying simply," You may proceed..."

tr'Elq leaves the brig and strides down the corridor with Kuro. A bit surprised to find Raith suddenly reappear in the middle of the foray, but none the less pleased to have order and direction back at the command level of the ship.

Kuro and Elq enter the turbo lift and quickly move to deck 4.

tr'Elq>I'll see you on the Ts'Irk rehkkai

Elq moves off quickly to his own quarters to gather a few personal items and to grab a quick shower.

About 20 seuren-a later he leaves his quarters and heads toward the transporter room to beam over to the Ts'Irk.
