SRR Morrahe`VnuChapter Seventy-Nine: Splitting Up
[On the Empress' Time Weapon....]

A shimmering transporter beam later, the team - consisting of Rylan tr`Tuhmek, Vyynd tr`Khaine, D`Tarik tr`Rekkohan, Eredh tr`Yhylk and other agency officers -- finds itself in a vacant crew's quarters on the Time Weapon. "Rylan, I'm confused..." D`Tarik speaks up, "We're going to trash the shields...?"

Vyynd shudders after they had re-materialized, "Ugh...I never did like transporters...."

Looking around himself, Rylan's own features reflected the confusion that DT felt, "Ie...." he answered, "If we can find engineering....and this isn't it." Shaking his head, Ry turns to look at the other members a moment, "Yhylk, tell the ship we've arrived....Aeris, au`rh taking scans, I hope?"

"Ie rekkhai..." she nods, pulling out a scanner.

"There are three life signals walking around outside..." D`Tarik informs, already having a scanner out and ready.

"Na more then that?" Ry nods slightly at Vyynd, "We can call them in here and dispose of them quietly then."

"Well...there's more around..." D`Tarik shrugs, "Just those are the closest."

"Ie." Vynnd nods, answering Rylan's gun-ho attitude, "Or we could try to blend in better?"

"Better idea..." Ry nods and heads for the door, "Keep the scanners out of their sight and just act casual like...."

"Lemme handle something first..." Vyynd interrupts, walking over to a panel in the wall. Pulling the panel open, he reveals a small computer console, "Shall we see what's behind door number io?"

"Ie...go ahead." Ry grins back, walking closer to peer at the computer's screen over Vyynd's shoulder.

Typing on the panel a few moments, Vyynd shakes his head, "Ugh. Fvadt Rihans...never trusting even their own race..."

"Au`rh the Tal`Shiar agent..." Ry shrugs, "Use some of those 'secret codes' na io else knows about..."

Vyynd sighs at that, "Nah...at my rank, on the Empress' secret time distorting weapon...? But, it always helps to have side studies apart from ninte career..." he grins, "Maybe a few non-legit techniques...."

"Au know...." D`Tarik suddenly suggests, 'I have more silent ways to deal with people..."

"Hold up DT." Rylan nods, still peeking over Vyynd's shoulder to the screen, "I think he's trying to call up a layout of the ship." Getting another thought, Ry taps the computer screen with a finger, interrupting the Agent's code-cracking, "See about their computer core as well...we can download lots of info in there..."

After a few more minutes of Vyynd's diligent tapping of the keyboard he announces, "Alright... I've got this level's layout. We're in a troops quarters, naturally...turbolifts are at the end of the corridor...most of the general area are crew quarters...." he looks at Ry with a shake of his head, "I won't be able to get much more from this console. It's access is limited...."

Frowning at that, Ry sighs "What about the rest of the ship's layout? Can't au call up a map?"

"Only the floors immeadiately around us...mostly crew sections." Vyynd looks back to the screen, then points at one of the larger areas, "Except on the far side, which is very small recreation and messhall areas."

"What's the population of this ship?" D`Tarik interjects.

Glancing back at the screen, Vyynd answers, "Population is approximately...20,000."

Raising a brow at the smaller male, Rylan catches on, "Au wouldn't have anything handy to knock people out or anything? Like anethetic we can put into the vents or anything?" he glances at the labcoat hopefully.

"Well....I have a very high power hallucinagen in gas form. Think we can use that?"

Ry shrugs, "Well, powerful enough to knock them all out, or just give them a buzz?"

"Any way for *us* na to be knocked out in the process would be useful as well..." Vyynd adds quickly.

"Powerful enough for us to walk by and have them think we are walking, talking pieces of fruit." D`Tarik smiles.

"Nonetheless, walking fruit is something to report..." Vyynd turns back to the computer screen in dismissal of the Medical officer.

"It's a great pain killer for in battle when somebody needs major medical attention that is painful." DT defends his product. "Basically they would be too stoned to report anything, Vyynd. They're numb to reality. It could work!"

"Oh, ie!" Ry grins, remembering his own experience with a certain pain killer of DT's creation, "If it's that blue stuff...keep that handy! They'll be running into the walls!"

"Na...." D`Tarik shakes his head, "This is like it...but it only has the pain killing properties...na the regenative componant."

Yhylk, having recieved a report, butts in. "The Wildstrike reports that their weapons are having na effect on the ship, but have taken minimal damage until their sensors sort out the holograms."

Hearing that, Ry sighs in frustraition, "Well for Element's sake, let's hop a turbolift and mingle then. We can't very well stay here. If we can get to another terminal...or a higher ranking officer's quarters....we can find out more there."

"Okay..." Vyynd nods, and motions towards the computer screen again, "It's rather counter productive, but three levels up are restricted access crew quarters, most likely for higher ranks...."

"Let's get to another terminal just the same." Ry shrugs, "We need to find the computer core, and engineering before those holograms go, and besides, the Klingons are on the ship at the moment..."

Looking around at the slight chaos around himself, Vyynd interrups, "Okay...we need to split up, or suspicion will be imminent."

"Au`rh security, au know ninte men better." Ry nods, "Split them up into efficent groups, then. DT..." he looks over at the biologist, "Au`rh with me."

"Ry, take DT and Yhylk up three levels." Vyynd points to the screen again, "There's a lounge there, wait for us and pretend ninte on security..." he pauses to look at the remainder of the team, "Aeris, myself, and the others will go the other way and wrap around, meeting au in a bit." he looked back to Rylan.

"All right then," Rylan nods, "See what kind of info au can get on the way...we'll meet au at this lounge then." he taps the area on the screen, then turns and heads for the door. The two teams exit the quarters non-chalantly, waving to one of the passerbys. The Imperial shakes his head and grumbles, "Party animals..."
