SRR Morrahe`VnuChapter Fourteen: Alucard and the Castle

With a grunt, born more of frustration than exertion, Alucard tossed aside another lifless body. He had jumped across the moat, and begun a fight through the castle almost a week ago, and still he was no where.

He had been born in this castle for elements sake! why couldnt he find his way?

Everything was moved around in impossible manners. Rooms existed where rooms had not been before. Large halls wrapped around and around themselves, only to exit very near where they began. Some of the castle was even upside down. And worst of all, it was infested with mindless undead creations.

'This has to be my father's doing,' Alucard spits cumming to yet another stone stair case. 'Only he could be so evil, so foolish to engage in such activities.'

Where Alucard a more thoughtful man, he may have found some irony in the next situation. As he was not, he did not, and were it not for such 'evil' manipulations, he would not have been able to dodge the volley of energy bolts that rained down from the stairs' end. The man on the offering end of those bolts, simply tilted his cap in admiration, and walked calmly back into the room from which he had sprung. In the glance Alucard had seen of him, the assailant had been a member of the Agency. Outside of that, nothing could be certain: except his addition to the list of 'people to kill' and 'places to burn'. Grumbeling, Alucard pulled himself back over the balcony, and sprinted up after the figure.

"Prepare to die Heth--!!?" The young nobel slid to a halt. In the room before him, hundreds of clear tanks, glowing lights, and horid unnatural creations were on display. Slack jawed, the boy walks into the room and up to his father's desk.

"Good evening son," the man at the desk says. "Au must be very tired. come, have a seat."

Alucard simply stares at the individual. The face is his own, but older. The head is capped with the same flowing white hair, but not quite so thick. The hand, is offering him a chair. So many weird things. "uhm...good...good evening father..?"

"Ie, it is," the equaly young man replies. While his hair is white, and his face showing the signs of old learned age, he appears no more than a few years older than his son. The Daeus snaps his finger, and the guard with the rifle files forward, and offers the younger man a tray of delicate pasteries. "I know how au used to like these. Come, there is much to discuss."

Alucard stuffs a pastery in his mouth and follows his father's gesture. Another agency man, one wearing a normal uniform and clean ranks, is leening up against a green glowing tank of ooze. The man nods, and steps forward. "Jolan tru Alucard," He bows. "I am Aendah Lucian tr`Bati, but au may simply refer to me by my first name."

"What manor of daemon are au that possesess mans souls to do such deeds as--"

"Please child," the Major holds up his hand. "I have no time for such foolery. Do au wish to know what au wish to know, or not?" The boy nods, and the narled major continues. "Firstly, I am the one doing these 'evil deeds' here. Ninte father is simply in acceptance of this, as he understands they are truely righteous... but I skip ahead."

Alucard can only look on with baffled interest, and stuff his mouth with sweet pastery as the man goes on. The Major moves around and gestures from machine to machine, speeking of things Alucards brain can not comprehend. The lecture goes on for an hour, before the Scientist stops and gives the boy a puzzled look.

"Au understand nothing of this do au?"

Alucard shakes his head in a baffled reply.

"Interesting," the man strokes his hairless chin. "Perhaps a differant approach... Have au ever woundered why au do, what au do, boy?"

Alucard shakes his head in a baffled reply.

"Have au ever woundered why au do na think of why au do na think of why au do what au do?" Alucard shakes his head in a baffled reply.

"Very simple reason," Lucian grins. "Because I programed ninte aft brain not to."

Having nothing else to do, Alucard shakes his head in a baffled reply.

"Au see," The major turns around and looks at his glowing tank. "As au were born outside of Eisn, au are inherantly na full blooded Rihannsu. And further more, since au were born from parents of the Eastern genetic variety, au have a geneticly altered imparitave in ninte aft brain. Very simply, the Government uses this, to maintain ninte loyalty... which au showed flawlessly until I reprogramed au in our first experiment."

Alucard smiles, really not getting any of this.

"Alas," The major turns back to face the boy. "The simple experiment has ended. Give my respect to the dead."

And out went the lights in Alucard's head, for the last time.
