SRR Morrahe`VnuChapter One Hundred - Twenty-Seven:
Fortifying Paranoia
[240103.12 ch'Rihan, of the ancient variety]

Stumbling, it seemed his senses were finally returning to normal after his disorienting dreams resurfacing. He stopped to rip at his head and prop himself on a tent post when he found himself staring at set of boot tracks in the dirt, heading into *his* tent. He looked around, his tracks were there, his tracks in last night, and his stumbling tracks out this very morning, but these were weren't his. He walked in, and looked around, they dissipated in the chaos inside his tent, but still.

Then there was the problem of his missing isd, of course he had backups, but Tal'Shair agent's don't just let isd's float around. He took a few moments to scan about his room, but it only turned up to be in vain.

Suddenly, images flooded the man's eyes, an empty seat at the ceremony, two of them, then his vision focused back in to his desk once more, and tr'Beck leapt into Vyynd's mind. He, nor t'Bahyk, had been at the ceremony...they had run off last night, and not returned? His senses kicked in and his mind began working once more, he spun into his seat at the desk and began scanning the network...no signs. He put out a missing persons on the both of them, rerouting any spare security personnel to scout the entire immediate area...then his paranoia struck him, a familiar feeling as late, but still.

"Aeris?" he shouted into his ip. "Ie rekkhai..." her lovely voice sounded back, "I have some news to tell au..." Her voice was cut off, "na ninte rekkhai right now, this is a matter of my own paranoia, can you report to my tent immediately, and be cautious...hann'yyu..." He left the line open, and began collecting his things, locking all devices and equipment in any code-locked safe or drawer he could find in the tent, then shrugged on his coat.

"I'll report my news as well...be there within moments..." Aeris replied under her breath, evidently displaying her now shared paranoia and hurry.

She poked an eye into his tent, seeing the Daise'Dehno scurrying about in his desk, she slid into the room just to see Vyynd pick up a disruptor pistol and holster it. He glanced up at her quickly, "report?" Then grabbed another pistol, and holstered that.

"Ie rekkhai, well...I was just running some rounds, to double check everything..." Her voice grew stressful and edgy.

Checking two more disruptor pistol charges, he slid them around and holstered them behind his back, under his coat, "Ie, hann'yyu dear...and?"

"Well, Vyynd..." she made eye contact to assure his full attention, "t'Shibae is missing..." She held her breath and stepped back briefly.

Vyynd continued to stare at her a moment, then slid a kaleh into his boot, "Ie...not surprising knowing her..." He thoughts trailed off, then rushed back, "Have all security personnel at full readiness, tr'beck has na reported back yet...and someone other then myself or au has been in my office between yesterday and this morning." He grasped his katana and slung it over his shoulder, onto his back, then stepped around the desk and placed a hand on Aeris' cheek, "Au be careful...and I've taken the liberty of installing some of security countermeasures here, as au've probably noticed a bit of...activate them whenever au are na in my tent...and do na let anyone in here...I'm sorry, but I have to go figure out what's going on...I'll be watching over au..." With a long, loving embrace, the Tal'Shiar agent left his second in command to carry out his own investigation.

Wandering to the point he last saw tr'Beck, he would conduct these investigations in his own style. He would nah let his tent be run through during the night, and he would find his agent...and his commanding officer...wherever she happened to be. Mind and eyes open, he ventured off once more, into the surroundings.
