SRR Morrahe`VnuChapter One Hundred - Thirteen:
"Clan-Cradol"
[240102.25 Wildstrike]

Running over to the window after entering the bar to stand with the others as they looked at the scene outside the ship, D`Tarik mutters the words that pretty much everyone had been thinking: "Holy hnaev!"

Rhagarokk still stares at the mob outside as the gatherers had gone back to their original chanting of 'Star Sword, Star Sword...' The Leih pauses to think to himself on what should be their next course of action with a "Hmm..."

Slightly behind and to the side of the Leih, Rylan stares out the viewport window, himself. With his jaw slightly dropped open in disbelief at this new problem that had suddenly cropped up, Ry shakes his head and mumbles very quietly to himself, "I didn't do this...."

Rhagarokk steps back, out of the view of the crowd gathered outside the ship. "NOW what do we do?" he asks of the other officers who all look at him with blank expressions, not having expected the sudden pop-quiz.

"Uh...I could turn them all into some kind of hamster type creature...." D`Tarik offers less then helpful, "Well...in theory I could..." he trails off again to think about that a moment.

Not paying much attention to DT, Rylan offers hopefully, "Um....why are they saying star sword? I mean, maybe we can simply tell them they have the wrong people....?" Still slightly stunned over the whole thing, Ry pauses to listen to the chanting another moment before he shrugs and adds, "Though I doubt that's gonna' work..."

Rhagarokk looks over to Vyynd's last known location, only to see an empty bar stool that was lazily coming out of it's earlier spin. "We could certainly use the help of TAG at the moment...."

Hearing that, Rylan turns and makes note of Vyynd's sudden disappearing act, and shrugs then taps his com. "Uh, Vyynd....ninte presence is requested..." he says, hoping tr`Khaine's com is working, and that the Tal`Shiar officer hadn't turned it off.

Slipping once more into the strange behavior that only Ry seemed to think DT capable of as late, D`Tarik suddenly declared, "I'm telling au, I could try and turn them all into hamsters!" he nods to himself, as if the whole matter was settled.

Thinking to snap the boy back into reality again, Rylan asks with a sarcastic tilt of a brow, "Well...could au turn them back to Rihans again when we're finally on our way back home?" then shifts his attention back to the com as Vyynd's impatient sounding voice finally answers him.

"Iiiiiieeee?"

Wondering why everyone on the ship has seemed to go off the deep end suddenly, Rylan taps back, and informs tr`Khaine, "The bar, Vyynd.....we've got company it seems. The Leih would like ninte input as to the situation we currently find ourselves in."

As Ry talked to Vyynd over the com, DT still keeps talking about his whole 'Rihans into Hamsters' theory, pacing the floor back and forth in front of the Leih and the xo; and going on almost excitedly about how he could perform such a task....even if the other two weren't paying attention to him.

After waiting for what seemed a rather long time for Vyynd's reply, Rylan finally looks up and hears the shorter boy carrying on about hamsters. Looking back to Katara with a raised brow that communicated, 'see what I mean?' he turned back to the Leih, who stood silently with his arms crossed in front of himself, and offered with an apologetic shrug "Okay....well DT's gone off on a rant, and Vyynd is ... somewhere...." he trails off again, looking out the window from a distance and shakes his head at the 'star sword' nonsense, completely baffled as to what to do.

tr`Khaine, who had been busying himself down in engineering, finally taps back to Ry, "Ie, I'm in engineering...attempting to get the holo-emitters working...or at least our cloak...." he pauses to grab at a random engineering officer as they passed by, "Jolan`tru..." Vyynd almost-smiles, "...err, hann`yyu..." and still holding the engineering officer in place, he taps to Rhagarokk, "Rekkhai...assessment on how wise a decision cloaking or holoemitting would be?"

Tapping open the personal communicator, for non-private coms, <+pc+ for short> Rhagarokk answers, "Work on the holoemitters primarily."

Answering back through the pc, tr`Khaine's voice affirms, "Ie rekkhai...." before he turns to the engineer he had stopped, "Can au help me get the holo-emitters functioning again?"

"Ie," the engineer nods, "We can start working on it....we'd have to stop repairs on the other systems though..."

Just then, DT finally winds down on his previous ranting escapade, "And then comes the force fields!" he turns around and looks from Ry to Rhagarokk, "Okay, I'm done. Everybody got that?!"

Rhagarokk looks over at D`Tarik as the boy had finally wound down, and starts laughing. Looking back over to Rylan, he says, "Au know, he's got something of a point...."

"Ie....he does...." Rylan nods, thinking of Vyynd's earlier idea. "And if we shut down some systems, we should be able to turn it on once more..." Then suddenly bolts out the bar room doors, running to the computer core.

Vyynd, hearing DT finally stop talking, comes through the open com-channel, "Can au induce a short burst of halucenogenic state in all the mobbers?"

"Ie!" DT answers without tapping back, then looks to the Leih, "Should I, rekkhai?"

Still laughing during the various conversations, Rhagarokk nods at Rylan's earlier remark, not noticing the boy had run off, "And DT has something of a point, although rodents are na the answer..." he pauses to turn to the boy he was speaking to, then laughs louder, "Rylan! Come back, I'm going to need au out here!"

Ry, who had just run through the doors of the computer core, hears that and sighs, before calling back through the pc, "Ie...." he looks over at t`Bahyk's confused face, and tells her to divert what little power they had to the emitters once they were online, and to call all available ops and engineering personnel to Engineering to get the system back up and running, as that would be top priority right now. Running back out the doors before t`Bahyk could so much as say 'ie, rekkhai,' Rylan runs back to the bar, informing the Leih through the pc as he did, "On my way...."

Rhagarokk calms down a bit, and addressed D`Tarik who had been waiting patiently for an answer to his previous question, "How specific are ninte hallucinagens? Could au mix io to cause a specific hallucination?"

"Au bet I could, rekkhai!" D`Tarik declares proudly, "It's time to start!" he trots off toward the doors, "I'll get my stuff out and make them all see stuff!"

Rhagarokk turns back to the window again, listening to the chanting crowd, when Rylan stumbles back into the bar, out of breath. Leaning against the doorway a moment, huffing and puffing, he nods to the Leih, "Ie...? What did...au need?"

Spinning, Rhagarokk declares, "I think we're all going to go outside of the ship and meet our fans!"

Looking confused at that, Rylan asks for clarification, "Um...we're going to talk to them...and tell them what?"

"Well, look at it this way..." he explains to the confused boy, "We've already proven that since DT saved T`Rehu, we're in a predestination sort of deal."

"Ie...." Ry nods, "So far that sounds good." he pauses to think about that only for a second before he suddenly grins, "So, na matter what we do...we'll be okay then!" he nods relieved.

Rhagarokk waves his fist in the air, "IE! We can't fail! Since I don't remember reading about myself in history, I'd say we're successful in finding a way back. So why na use them to help our search?"

Grinning widely, Ry agrees with an enthusiastic nod, "Finally! Something that's gone *right* today!" Then, as another thought crept into his head, he looks down at himself, "Well, shouldn't we at least *try* to look like the locals?"

"Nah... " Rhagarokk answers with a slight shake of his head, "Maybe we'll Information Paradox the galae's uniform..."

Not happy with the slow progress of the repairs of the holoemitters systems, Vyynd grumbles and paces engineering, "Okay, au all continue here, I can't help au much unfortunately...." He sprints out of Engineering and heads to the bar, tapping Ry along the way, "Okay....we're working on the holo-emitters...what of D`Tarik's hallucinagen?"

Before Ry had a chance to answer, Rhagarokk suddenly asks the boy, "So Rylan, how'd au like to be the heir to a great ancient clan?"

"Why na..." he answers with a slight grin, "I'm na the heir to anything else."

Vyynd burst through the bar room doors again, "....I'm back!" he pauses to look from one officer to the other, "Um...so what's the plan in the mean-time?"

D`Tarik came in shortly behind Vyynd, and nods to the Leih, "I've got it, rekkhai..." he taps a lab coat pocket.

Rhagarokk turns to look at the two new arrivals, then heads towards the ladder, "Now....I've got to command my followers..." he answers cryptically. Vyynd looks from the Leih to Ry who only shrugs before following Rhagarokk to the ladder. The other two officers following slightly behind.

As the four officers descend from the ladder, the crowd gives a deafening wild cheer. Rhagarokk hops down onto the ground. The boys follow suit, and quickly take up their places. Ry to the right of the Leih and standing slightly behind him; Vyynd to the Leih's left and back; and DT standing quietly beside Rylan. The three boys eye the crowd a little wearily, as Rhagarokk greets the ancients with a shout that could be heard over the enthusiastic cheers, "Jolan`tru, fellow Declared!"

The mob itself is made up mostly of farmers, peasants, and various townspeople who have all heard (and helped spread) the growing rumors about the time-travelers. The majority of the people have apparently packed up their whole life and taken it with them to camp outside the fallen Morrhae`vnu. Vyynd, leans a little closer to Ry and whispers "Did au send the invitations?"

Ry smirked, but didn't answer this, as the Leih was smiling and waving to the crowd before him; immensely enjoying the ego boost. When the crowd had calmed down enough for his words to be heard without shouting, Rhagarokk continued, "Good people of the planet of the Declared! We come bringing au the chance to join a clan of Fate!" He paused as the crowd oohed and aahed and began to murmur amongst themselves over this statement, then continued again with a warm grin, "If au wish to take the role that au are destined for, join us! Clan Cradol will build a new Far Travel ship and retake the stars!"

Looking a little shocked at the Leih's proclamations as he hadn't been present in the bar for the discussion, Vyynd mutters, "Lovely....." then steps up closer behind Rhagarokk and whispers behind his back, "Predestination Paradox...?"
