Silos Apocalypse
The greatest hero who ever lived, Silos, known as Silos Apocalypse for his warcraft and might, led the war against Ravanna. Silos organized the defeated nations and rallied the defeated armies, undoing in ten years Ravanna's conquests over the preceeding one-hundred years. Finally, on the ramparts of the dread City of Souls, the dark capital of Sutech's realm, Silos, armed with the Sword of Sunset, slew Sutech, Ravanna's high priest and physical manifestation on A'ta. Sutech's death wrought incredible devastation across the globe, upheavals in the earth and sea that created the Maelstrom to the north, the Land of Fire and the Plains of Dust to the west, and closed the Straits of Gold to the northeast. Silos was never heard from again.
Many believe he is not dead, but merely sleeps awaiting the needs of the world. The Night of the Apocalypse, occuring on Mid-Summer's Night, commemorates Silos' great sacrifice at the City of Souls. Celebrated throughout the world, but most especially in the western lands where the memory of Silos' sacrifice is very much alive and thriving, The Night of the Apocalypse is believed to be a night of great import and power, and many great deeds are attempted on this most magical of nights.
Silos came from obscurity, a small village in what became the Drachenfels. There are several ruined villages said to be his home, but no knows for certain.
