The Davis & Elkins College outdoor resources extend beyond the Wilderness Adventure Club and Outdoor Resource Center � they play a vital role in the Health Sport Movement Science (HSMS) program through the Outdoor Physical Education class. Students are challenged both physically and mentally through various outdoor activities which place them in situations where teamwork plays a vital role. Matt Fannon (above far right), a Physical Education major at Davis & Elkins College believes the class �gave us an opportunity to understand the importance of teamwork in a potentially life or death situation.� Thus, students not only learn the technical execution of activities such as rock climbing, but they are forced into situations where they must learn to rely and trust each other through teamwork.
