| Photo by Jawad Being a part of the Wilderness Adventure Club (WAC) at Davis & Elkins College has provided me with multiple opportunities to "be real, & get dirty." One of the many trips sponsored by WAC includes caving. If you've ever had the notion to climb through a muddy labyrinth of underground rock in the dark only to come out plastered in mud, then hop on board. Throughout the year, there are multiple opportunities for adventurous students to get down and dirty in local caves. Randolph County, WV includes four main caves including the ever popular Bowden Cave System. On this particular trip, students had the chance to climb through Trout Rocks Cave last fall (2007). Having participated in many WAC events, I can personally say that this is a much better way to spend my free time on the weekends than to sit in my dorm room staring at my computer screen! |
