| Photo by Kevin Stitzinger I can say from my own personal experience that rock climbing is one of the most challenging activities we offer through D&Es outdoor resources. Having participated in the Wilderness Adventure Club climbing outings, I came to the realization that rock climbing doesnt just involve your armsit involves your entire body and mind. And needless to say, both my body and head were exhausted for about a week after my first real rock climbing experience. In addition to WACs rock climbing opportunities, the Outdoor Physical Education class has also been involved in such activities. Above, Matt Fannon works his way up the face of Seneca Rocks. To parallel my own physical and mental challenge, he notes Adventures such as Rock Climbing are a good strain on the body, but a perfect way to challenge yourself both physically and mentally. |
