I have experienced numerous challenges in my outdoor pursuits at D&E, as have many other students some of whom are not involved with the Wilderness Adventure Club nor initially interested in the outdoors. One such student, Travis Fisher, reflects on his PHED Outdoor Education course experience and challenges: "I think the benefit of outdoor education is the experience because [it] gives you the chance to participate in activities that I know I would not even think about doing nor really have the chance to at home." Ultimately, "it gave me an interest in outdoor activities such as caving and rock climbing."
