My Current Research:

                My current research is going on Fatigue of Weldments.

Coming to a detailed description, Material chosen is INCONEL 718 (Nickel-based Superalloy). It is oneof the precipitation hardenable alloy of this category. Hence it requires low-energy welding process for its fabrication. Electron beam welding is the one of the best processes that exactly matches its requirements. TIG welding with Pulsed current and Arc oscilation is also a suitable one but it is under research to evaluate its suitability in competing the IN 718 welding metallurgy.

Finally, the fatigue properties of the weldments of IN 718 in different conditions to be evaluated and hopefully the fatigue properties are to be improved by using different surface modification techniques.
