| Mi-chan told him how she had felt Neko-chan get dizzy and then lost contact with her. "Shimatta," Tenshi-san put his hand to his head and closed his eyes in thought. After a minute, he opened them and said, "Ok, I'm going to go get some help and find Neko-chan. Michiru-chan, you're going home." "Demo," she started as he grabbed her arm and took her back to the front of school. He ignored her objections. The bus she had come on was just about to leave. For an instant, she thought she'd be saved by the bus leaving, but Tenshi-san flagged down the driver, who stopped and opened the door. He flashed the bus driver a charming smile and said, "My friend here is sick. Could you make sure she gets home, onegai?" He told the bus driver her address. She nodded and closed the doors after Mi-chan had gotten on. Mi-chan had no choice but to take a seat on the mostly empty bus again. She sat there, arms crossed, trying to figure out what to do next. *Tenshi-san has no right to send me home when Neko-chan is in danger!* She considered trying to get off, but thought better of it. Maybe when she was dropped off at home, she'd attempt to unlock her dirt bike and go out looking for Neko-chan again. The sudden beeping of her communicator watch made her jump. She realized that she was probably in trouble if it was her mom and dad, but common sense told her that it might be news about Neko-chan or something related. "Moshi moshi." She blinked. "Neko-chan! You're ok!" "Hai. I didn't want you to worry." She paused and frowned. "Mi-chan, where are you?" "I'm on a bus headed for home. What happened? I felt dizzy and I couldn't contact you. Where are you?" "I just fainted. Don't worry, I'll handle it. I promise it won't happen again." Mi-chan knew that Neko-chan didn't just make promises that she couldn't keep, which just made her more curious about what had happened. She was going to press further, but then Neko-chan looked at her angrily and said, "You're supposed to be at home resting. Why aren't you there?" "Ano, I was worried about you so I was going to find you. Demo Tenshi-san put me back on the bus to go home. It wasn't very considerate of him, you know." "You saw Tenshi-kun?" "Hai, he's worried about you too. Maybe you should call him." Mi-chan sensed a wave of guilt from Neko-chan. She said quietly, "Tenshi-kun doesn't have a communicator watch or a phone or anything so I can't call." "Well, can't you call his house?" Neko-chan blushed, "I'm actually there now." "Nani?!" Just then Mi-chan heard an excited girl's voice in the background of the communicator watch. Neko-chan said quickly, "Uh, I got to go play with Puroko-chan, I guess. Go home and get rest. I'll see you later tonight." Mi-chan stared at the watch in shock. She hadn't realized that Tenshi-san was Haruka-sama and Michiru-sama's son. ~*~*~*~*~*~*~* Tenshi drove home as quickly as possible. She wanted to ask her parents for advice on how to help Neko-chan. She hadn't been a Senshi for long and hadn't had the information session the others had when they became Senshi. She realized that if she needed to transform, she had no idea how to do so. When she had done it before, she hadn't even realized it until after she had thrown the rose and realized that she was wearing a ninja outfit. She hadn't even consciously untransformed. It just had happened. Since then she had tried to transform on purpose and just couldn't do it. She had considered letting Mi-chan come along because she actually would have a better chance of finding Neko-chan and she at least knew how to transform. But Neko-chan would've killed Tenshi, if she knew that she'd let Mi-chan run around town looking for her. Not to mention possibly letting her get in a battle. So she decided to go home in hopes that Haruka-papa or Michiru-mama would have an idea of where to start looking or how a Knight transforms or anything that might help her at all. ~*~*~*~*~*~*~* Neko was saved from the hyperactive eight year-old once again when Michiru-sama glanced into the room and asked if Puroko-chan would help set the table. Neko offered to help, but Michiru-sama told her that she was a guest and shouldn't have to help out around the house. Once again Neko was left in the living room by herself. She stepped around the toys Puroko-chan had left in the floor and walked up to the mantle to look at the pictures that were sitting on there. She was entertained by the variety - pictures of the Outer Senshi together, pictures of all the original Senshi together, a picture of Haruka-sama winning a trophy for a race she won, a wedding picture of Haruka-sama and Michiru-sama, pictures of them with Tenshi-kun and Puroko-chan, individual pictures of the girls. She picked up one that had them in costume, Tenshi-kun, about 15, was an angel and Puroko-chan, about 5, was a devil. "Kawaii!" She was just about to put it down when she heard someone behind her. ~*~*~*~*~*~*~* As Tenshi walked in and took off her shoes, she could smell that one of her parents was making dinner. Since she knew that one of them was in the kitchen at least, she started towards there. But as she started to pass through the living room, she stopped short, shocked by who was in there. "Koneko-chan," she said in disbelief. What was she doing here? Tenshi didn't know whether to be upset or relieved that Neko-chan was there. She decided she was mostly just relieved that she wasn't hurt. Neko-chan put down the picture she was looking at and turned around quickly. "Tenshi-kun! You're here." Then she lowered her eyes, "I'm sorry I missed our date. I-" But Tenshi was so glad that she was ok, she wasn't listening. She ran over to her, but neglected to notice the toys lying on the floor. She tripped on them and went sailing right into Neko-chan who caught her. "Tenshi-kun, daijoubu ka?" "Hai. Smooth, ne?" She smiled at Neko-chan to hide her embarrassment. Then she said, "How about you? Michiru-chan said you were in trouble." "Oh, well, I just-" Once again, Neko-chan was interrupted, this time by a giggling behind them. They turned and looked and saw Puroko-chan standing in the doorway. She began to sing in English something she had learned in Hawaii. |
