| -EZ PICKINS GAS STATION. The gas station located south of Petaluma off US 101 "Redwood Highway" was used as the location where Milner takes off his header plugs and the station attendant played by John Bracci, says to him, �You expecting some action? Why do they even bother?, you�ve been number one as long as I can remember.� |
| PETALUMA HIGH SCHOOL, 201 Fair Street. Exteriors for the hop scenes were filmed here. The extended fenced lot adjacent to the school was the backdrop for scenes like the one where Curt runs into ex-girlfriend, Wendy. The interior scenes in the boys and girls lavatories and Curt walking down the hall were also filmed here on Monday July 31st. |
| -FRATES ROAD. In the vicinity of the Adobe Creek Golf Club, Frates Road became "Paradise Road," the location of the climactic drag race. |
| -LAZY-ME USED CARS, 320 Petaluma Blvd, N. This is where Toad is accosted by an obnoxious used car salesman, (John Brent). This local was chosen because Lucas, supposedly, loved the visual appeal of the gigantic chair. |

| KTOB Studio & Transmitter Rowena Lane. The exterior of Petaluma's own KTOB was used to represent XERB, Wolfman's radio station. For the interiors shots the station at KREL in Berkeley was used. |
