(where Coppola's "Dementia 13" was playing).
This theatre was renovated in 1992 to accommodate live music performances and is now called THE MYSTIC THEATRE.

-EMPTY CHAMBER OF COMMERCE LOT.
This empty lot on Petaluma Blvd. North, (next door to the Mystic Theatre) was filled with old cars and dressed up to become Jerry's Cherries Used Car Lot. The lot still stands vacant today.
-TALL TOAD MUSIC, 43 PETALUMA BLVD. NORTH
Cindy Williams (Laurie) pulls her Edsel over to the curb to hop into the '55 Chevy driven by Harrison Ford (Bob Falfa). In this scene she is parked in front of the building that is now occupied by Tall Toad Music.

Petaluma (Sonoma County):

When the crew were no longer allowed to film in San Rafael, a nearby town, Petaluma, located 32 miles north of San Francisco in Sonoma County, welcomed the crew.  Filming in Petaluma began on Wednesday, June 28th.  The first scene scheduled for the night involved Carol getting hit by a water balloon.   A majority of the cruising scenes that were filmed in Petaluma took place on Petaluma Boulevard between D Street and Washington.  Specific location are as follows:















-PETALUMA BLVD & WESTERN AVE.
The Cadillac was vandalized with shaving cream at this corner.  During this scene, a Wells-Fargo Bank sign in the background marks the corner location of the historic American Trust Co. Building @ 101  Petaluma Blvd. North. Wells-Fargo has since moved a few blocks west on Western Ave., while Vintage Bank Antiques now occupies this Neo-Classic style building.
