Karen has lived in NYC for almost ten years. Her blossoming Film & TV career consists of six appearances
on THE LATE SHOW with DAVID LETTERMAN, the pilot, HOT
FOR TEACHER, and numerous short films. She is a founding member of TRIFECT
PRODUCTIONS which, along with herself, consists of her two favorite
collaborators, Ben Knox and Heather Collis. They have released CHEEKS EASTON in A LOBSTER TALE, which premiered in NYC for the 5th Annual CineKink Festival, a music video for The Dales and a webisode pilot, THE GREEN TEAM.

Notable New York appearances onstage include starring in R U PRIME as part of the 2008 New York International FRINGE FESTIVAL at SOHO REP's WALKER SPACE, "Committed"
at Ensemble Studio Theatre and bringing down the house at THE CANAL ROOM, CRASH MANSION, and other rock venues as lead singer for WITCHES IN BIKINIS. She has thrice taken the stage at Upright Citizen's Brigade
with her improv troupe The Masked Offenders, twice performed
"Happy Hour", a series of sketch-improv scenes at the
Big Little Theatre and thrice performed improv at The D Lounge
with The Back Line.
Favorite regional performances include Cynthia in Baby with the Bathwater,
Lela
in Disney World, Magic Kingdom's Diamond Horseshoe Revue and
Medicine Show, Louise in Gypsy, Velma in West
Side Story.
Karen was born in the San Francisco Bay Area. She began training according to the ROYAL ACADEMY of BALLET standards
from the time she was four years old. At the age of nine she was
accepted into SAN FRANCISCO BALLET SCHOOL where she studied and
performed for the next seven years. At SAN MATEO HIGH SCHOOL she
performed in every single musical during her time there: favorite
roles included Geminae in A FUNNY THING HAPPENED ON THE WAY
TO THE FORUM, Dainty June in GYPSY, and Marion in THE MUSIC MAN.
Karen
went on to get a Bachelor of Science in Anthropology from UNIVERSITY
of CALIFORNIA at LOS ANGELES (UCLA) all the while taking advantage
of acting classes in the renowned Film & Television Department.
After college, Karen studied intensively with Cliff Osmond in
Los Angeles, then the LONDON ACADEMY of MUSIC and DRAMATIC ARTS
in London and the Institute at ENSEMBLE STUDIO THEATRE in New
York City. |
