Fiorentina, playing under new interim manager Luciano Chiarugi, took the lead in the 40th minute thanks to a brilliant Rui Costa left-foot strike. Bari equalised three minutes later as young Antonio Cassano dribbled past goalkeeper Francesco Toldo and slotted the ball home. Bottom-of-the-table Bari took the lead in the 87th minute when Swedish international Daniel Andersson converted a penalty after Saliou Lassissi had brought Yksel Osmanovski down in the box and held on for their fourth victory of the year.

Ten-man Parma held struggling AC Milan to their fifth home draw of the season. Paolo Maldini gave AC Milan the lead, volleying home from the edge of the box after 22 minutes. Savo Milosevic equalised two minutes later for Parma after a poor back pass from defender Luigi Sala. Andres Guglieminpietro headed Milan into the lead five minutes into the second half but Brazilian Amoroso levelled the score, slotting home a shot from close range in the 80th minute.

Brazilian Edmundo scored his second goal of the season in the 51st minute to give Napoli the lead. Croatian Davor Vugrinec equalised in the 76th minute with his seventh goal of the season, giving Lecce their fourth away draw of the year.

Captain Marco Materazzi scored his eighth goal of the season with a 41st-minute penalty as surprising Perugia won for the fifth time at home this year. It was the seventh away defeat of the season for Vicenza, who are second from bottom in the table.

Gianluca Zambrotta put Juventus in front in the 38th minute, slotting home a rebound from an Alessandro Del Piero free-kick that came off the crossbar. Filippo Inzaghi headed home their second from close range in the 60th minute, the Italy international's 10th goal of the season. It was the fourth successive win for second-placed Juventus and their 13th of the season. Del Piero was sent off nine minutes from the end for a second bookable offence. Emiliano Salvetti scored twice, the second coming in injury time as Verona won their fifth home match of the year. Salvetti had given Verona the lead after 11 minutes but Atalanta's Cristiano Doni equalised three minutes before halftime with a well-taken strike from the edge of the box. Salvetti clinched victory just into injury time when he blasted home an Omar Camoranesi cross to hand Atalanta their fifth loss of the season.

Inter took a shock lead when Christian Vieri volleyed home in the 8thminute. Roma were level within two minutes as Marcos Asssuncao's free-kick passed throught a crowded area into the bottom corner. They then took the lead in the 27th minute when another Assuncao free-kick rattled off the crossbar and Montella reacted quickly to head home the rebound. Roma looked to be firmly in control until the stroke of halftime when Vieri raced on to a long ball from Recoba and fired past Francesco Antonioli to put Inter level at the break. Fabio Capello's side grabbed the winner four minutes from time thanks to a close-range near post header from Montella.

Midfielder Andrea Zanchetta opened the scoring for Reggina after eight minutes and Francesco Cozza made it 2-0 three minutes before halftime. Giuseppe Signori pulled one back for Bologna in the 69th minute but could not prevent Reggina from claiming their fifth league victory of the season.

Brescia 0 - Lazio 1

Marcelo Salas scored in the 59th minute to give Lazio their seventh win in eight league matches under manager Dino Zoff. Before Salas's seventh goal of the season Brescia had come close to taking the lead several times, with striker Dario Hubner and defender Pierpaolo Bisoli both hitting the woodwork. It was third-placed Lazio's sixth consecutive away win.
