Giuseppe Signori scored twice to take his total to 49 goals in 100 league matches for Bologna. Signori opened the scoring with a 25th-minute penalty but Brazilian Edmundo equalised 10 minutes later with his first strike for Napoli. Signori's second came three minutes from time to give Bologna their sixth home win of the season. With the loss, Napoli remain fourth from bottom level on points with Vicenza.

Recently signed forward Marco Ferrante scored one minute from time to give Inter Milan their seventh league win of the year. Udinese had taken the lead with Roberto Sosa's ninth goal of the season after 15 minutes. French international Laurent Blanc headed home the equaliser three minutes later before Ferrante's last-minute heroics. Udinese have not drawn a match since the second day of the season.

Juventus won their seventh home game of the season to keep pace with leaders AS Roma. Croatian Igor Tudor opened the scoring after nine minutes, heading home an Alessandro Del Piero cross. Filippo Inzaghi scored his ninth of the season in the 67th before Zinedine Zidane rounded out the scoring with a perfectly placed chip in injury time. Hernan Crespo scored a hat-trick as Lazio won for the sixth time in seven league matches under manager Dino Zoff. Czech internationals Karel Poborsky and Pavel Nedved rounded out the scoring for Lazio. Verona kept the game close but could not avoid their eighth away defeat of the season. Crespo now has 14 goals, the same as fellow Argentine Gabriel Batistuta of Roma. Lazio remain third, eight points behind league leaders Roma, while Verona are third from bottom.

Lecce earned their first win in five matches as striker Cristiano Lucarelli scored his 10th goal of the season. David Balleri put the home side in front in the 14th minute, knocking home a cross from Max Tonetto before Reggina midfielder Francesco Cozza equalised in the 28th minute. Lucarelli scored the winner in the 72nd minute, shielding the ball from a defender before turning and firing home a shot past Reggina goalkeeper Massimo Taibi.

Parma earned the biggest victory in their Serie A history, sending Perugia to their second consecutive defeat. Defender Stefano Torrisi opened the scoring after 13 minutes and Yugoslav international Savo Milosevic scored twice as Parma moved to fourth, level on points with Atalanta.

League leaders AS Roma won their eighth away match of the season. Substitute Vincenzo Montella fired home a left-foot shot 10 minutes from time to give Roma the lead. Brazilian Emerson scored three minutes later to ensure Roma their 15th league victory of the year.

Ex-Italy international Roberto Baggio marked his return from injury with two goals. Baggio gave Brescia the lead after just four minutes but Enrico Chiesa answered with his 11th strike of the season to level the score in the 23rd minute. Nuno Gomes put Fiorentina in front, heading home a rebound off the cross-bar midway through the second half. Baggio then struck home the equaliser with a beautifully taken free-kick four minutes later.

Atalanta's fifth home draw of the season saw them slip to fifth, level on points with Parma, winners on Sunday. Struggling Bari remain bottom, two points behind Reggina.
