1. Ice Plant
There is no ice plant in the island which is very important for the fishermen frequenting in the Lamon Bay area and the Pacific, including local fishermen of the island and the neighboring islands of Polillo and Patnanongan.
2. Ferry Boats
There is no regular passenger ferry going to the island of Jomalig and Patnanongan. The residents of the islands just ride on cargo and fishing boats which are not passenger vessels taking the risk of without any proper responsibility from boat owners in cases of accidents.
Daily average passengers of 100 to 300 is likely from the mainland going to Patnanongan and Jomalig.
3. Beach Resorts
There is no existing beach resort in the island, though the place have white sand beaches around it. The place is very much open for bussiness ventures, and much more beautiful than Boracay in comparison as others have testified.
4. Hotels
The idea of putting up a 3 star to 5 star hotel is also welcome. Jomalig sometimes have some visitors, including dignitaries, which gives the problem regarding their accomodation. And because the LGU is looking ahead of becoming a sprawling tourist island in the Pacific rim, it is better to be the first to avail on this special offer with its incentives.
