| The Island Municipality of Jomalig still carry the pride of its natural beauty. From a long stagnation in contentment, the people are now starting to realize that the times are changing and that a time to move forward is needed. In the early 50s, the islanders was in a state of golden age with the blessings of nature. There are plenty of food from the sea like fishes, shells and clams, lobsters, crabs, and so many others to be named. The land is so fertile that planting rice, vegetables, and other crops gives plentiful harvest in return. Domesticated animals like cattle, and even poultry gives satisfactory livelihood to them. The coconuts started to grow and bear fruits which in turn gives plentiful copra produce that give a feeling of financial security for the coconut farmers in the 70s and 80s. The island is blessed with peace loving settlers and remain as a peaceful place to stay. The criminal activities only range from petty thievery of chicken, and the likes usually done by playful youths, and of course some fistfights. |
