This 510 went through a major rebuild in a very short period of time. One of my friend purchased it for $500. It was an excellent deal except the engine (L20B) had a dead cylinder. The car came with Z 5 speed, Z rear differential, 3-core radiator, full suspension, header, sidedraft carb and 13*5.5 libra wheels.
The other problem with the car was body damage to the right front of the car. The right fender, inner fender and headlight panel needed serious repair.
I had a L18 in my garage and decided to give it to my friend since he needed an engine. We worked on this car for about two weeks. The front end was repaired by a body shop where they welded in a new head light panel. The body man performed magic on the right inner fender. The repair section looked as good as new.
We also rebuild the sidedraft carb before putting it back to service. The car was a success. The engine kept pulling until red line. The handling was nice too.
My friend could not pass smog with the car so I bought the car from him.
I added 280ZX brakes and 200SX wheels. The car was a bit noisy with the header but overall a great 510.
