Perhaps the biggest one was a new one-on-one format. In the first game the champion got the advantage, and the challenger in the second. If a third was needed an altered board was used so no one had an advantage. |
Each game was worth $100 and two was still worth a trip to the "Gold Run". Now the bonus was played for a progressive jackpot, which started at $5,000 and increased by that much until it was won. |
