Alien Species called SelonianDesignation: Sentient

Planet of Origin: Selonia

Height of Average Adult: 2 meters

Selonians are a furry bipedal mammals. They are taller than most humans, with shorter arms and legs. Their long bodies allow them to be comfortable walking on either two or four legs. At the ends of their paw like hands they have retractable claws. These claws allow them to dig and climb efficiently. They have half a meter long tail that acts as a counterbalance when they walk upright on two legs. Their bodies are covered with glossy short hair that is usually either brown or black. Their faces are long and pointed with bristly whiskers and sharp teeth.

They are thoroughly grounded, serious minded people. They are primarily concerned with safety of their family dens and their people as a whole. In their society, the needs of the entire group are more important than the needs of the individual. Because they believe an individuals actions might affect the entire den, they refuse to lie and consider it as terrible of a crime as murder is considered.

They construct their dens underground. The den groups consist of one fertile female, called the queen, a few fertile males and large numbers of sterile females. The den members focus on keeping the queen safe and keeping the den safe. Within the den there are sub groups called septs, which are offspring from the same fertile male. The queen becomes pregnant upto 5 times a year, each time giving birth to 5ive or more children. The sterile females take care of the queen and the males which are considered no more than przed breeding stock.

Select Selonians are taught to be able to deal with humans and other aliens. While they appear to be outgoing, freindly and charitable, most Selonians have no interest beyond the den.

They have mastered shipbuilding technology, and they construct ships that can carry them around in their own star system. Since they have no desire to travel beyond the boundries of Corellia, their ships don't have hyperdrive capabilities.

Though rare, cultural changes do occur in Selonian society. Recently a few breeding males have attempted to start a movement for the "breeders rights".
