Drall are small, furry, bipedal creatures that live on the planet Drall in the Corellian Sector. They have large black eyes and have a gentle countenance and are very intelligent, highly dignified species.
Being methodical and levelheaded, Drall are mostly known as excellent scientists and scholars. by nature they are abstract thinkers preferring to develop new scientific theories than actually putting them in practice. Because of this the Drall are usually behind the galaxy in technological achievement . They usually implement technologies that were developed elsewhere.
Their society is clan based and hierarchical with no elected head of state. Powerful family groups run the government. The eldest female of the clan is usually the head of each family. This head of the family is called a duchess. When the current Duchess dies the role will go to a female of the next generation who demonstrates the level headedness and the necessary leadership skills for the role.
Most Drall hold positions that involve processing medicinal agriculture which is Drall's primary industry. You will rarely see a Drall elsewhere in the galaxy, but off planet companies have hired Drall to serve as scientific researchers.
They love to gossip. In fact it is somewhat of a cultrual tradtion to gossip.
