In recent times, Doc Nagel, Inc., has complained that several poems in this collection have portrayed Doc Nagel as being an actual, extant, living person. The charges have been levelled at "Last Rude Note For Your Departure" and "Descending Into St. Louis" particularly, but also to the entire collection in general. I find this claim to be absurd, as several poems, notably "An American in Denny's" have nothing to do with Doc Nagel, and others, notably "Day Winds Down," are wholly and solely about beastiality. However, since the good people of Doc Nagel, Inc., have seen fit to busy themselves by hiring lawyers and threatening to sue, I find myself compelled to make the following disclaimer:

Doc Nageldoes not exist.
