The Islamic Architecture Mosque Website is a website that promoting art and architecture of Islamic Mosque in Malaysia. The proposal is for National Department for Culture and Arts which is dynamic and growing organization, our mission and vision are to build up a special website that focus to the Islamic Architecture of Mosque in Malaysia especially. To know more about what is The Islamic Architecture Mosques website, what did we create and how we plan to create the website became more interactive and make sure it is interesting for young generation to get some knowledge about Islamic architecture. We are proud to encourage you to explore our website project planning. Now day, we recognize that we live at a time of rapid and accelerating change, which leads us to promoting long-term planning and emphasize more in life long knowledge information management. Through our strategic vision and mission, we enhance this website ability to track new idea in promoting Islamic architecture in online service or social media to make it easier to find the information and gain knowledge. It also encourages people continually aware how beautiful Islamic architecture in the Malaysia.

National Department for Culture and Arts

National Department For Culture And Arts (JKKN) is one of the agencies under Ministry of Tourism and Culture (MOTAC) Malaysia and it is responsible in implementing all cultural and arts activities in Malaysia.

  1. Year 1953 Cultural Section was established under Ministry of Social Welfare.

  2. Year 1964 Cultural Section was under Ministry of Information

  3. Year 1972 Cultural Section was under Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports

  4. Year 1987 Cultural Section was under Ministry of Tourism and Culture.

  5. Year 1992 Cultural Section was under Ministry of Culture, Arts and Tourism

  6. Year 2004 Cultural Section was under Ministry of Culture, Arts and Heritage

  7. 22 March 2005 Cultural Section was upgraded to National Department for Culture & Arts (JKKN) ( Warrant no. S20 year 2005)

  8. 1 Feb 2007 Planning, Research and Development Division was set up in JKKN ( Warrant no.S40 year 2007)

  9. 18 Mac 2008 JKKN was one of the agencies under the Ministry of Unity, Culture, Arts and Heritage

  10. April 2009 JKKN is an agency under the Ministry of Information, Communication and Culture.

  11. Starting from May 16, 2013, JKKN is an agency under the Ministry of Tourism and Culture.

OBJECTIVE & FUNCTION of JKKN

Objectives

  1. Preserving and promoting Malaysian culture and arts.

  2. Encouraging the growth of arts and cultural activities through effective collaboration between arts and cultural organizations, government agencies, private sectors, non-governmental organizations and arts and cultural activists from within and outside the country.

  3. Disseminating information on culture and arts to the public, both locally and internationally.

  4. Providing conducive infrastructure for arts and culture and advisory services to the Malaysian community.

  5. Enhancing development of arts and culture products.

Functions/Roles

  1. Planning, coordinating, implementing cultural and arts activities throughout Malaysia.

  2. Planning and disseminating information on culture and arts.

  3. Coordinating, planning, carrying out research and development on creative industry product.

  4. Improving networking with government agency and NGOs' (local & international).

  5. Providing advisory services and expertise in culture and arts fields.

  6. Providing guidelines and training in culture and arts fields.
