A small number of Scanias were aqcuired on loan from the Swedes during operations in the Congo in the early '60s.

The Scania was a WWII design with an open topped trop compartment.

Some Scanias are still in use today, although it is unclear if Sweden operates any, some Baltic states were presented with them after they acieved independence following the collapse of the Soviet Union. These vehicles have been modernised and an armoured roof has been added to the troop compartment.
