Immediately taking haste he ran away from
the dragon as quickly as he could, and escaped from the cave.
"Well William, the girl wasn't there, those punks tricked us.." he
said talking to nobody.
"Wiliam? William...?" he muttered looking puzzled.
"Oh well. So hard to find good help these days. Sheesh" and so our
hero traveled alone. Soon enough our young hero returned to his queen. The queen
allowed him to be under her presence, and he bowed majestically to her.
"So you have failed me?" she scowled at him
"Yes your majesty but...." he muttered
"But what?"
"I'm sure if I were to return to the help of my friends I could return
with the Princess intact. I must go and find them, for they are off in the land
of Fwixit!"
"Intact? Did that horrid dragon shred my daughter up?"
"No, no your majesty, that's not what I meant!"
"Very well then you all have my leave."
"Your Majesty?"
"Yes, what now?"
"I lost my assistant, William. The dragon, he said annoying things to it.
It flame-throwered him." he said tears welting up in his eyes as the memories
of William returned to him.
"Yes and so have I. Anything you need will be provided on her return...
Now go please before she is lost to me forever."
"Psst.. narrator, what do I have bribe you with to let me back-stab her?"
Who? The queen you must be crazy...
"No seriously narrator! No One talks to me like that." So you're
attempting to back-stab the queen in Court right next to her guards with her
royal knights and some other guys right next to her? You must be crazy.
"I stole a Cloak of Displacement at that dragon's cave so I think I can
get out. Screw it I'll back-stab....."
"Don't stab me! I just remembered I have internal organs!" she shouted,
but it was too late, and soon enough he had killed the queen in a bloody mess.
Then as the guards and knights leapt at him, he threw on the cloak. Unfortunately
it turned out just to be a cloak. Probably one of the ones from a victim of
the dragon. But then there was a stroke of luck, for low and behold there was
an army in the front who were attacking. It was the nearby prince, who had just
telephoned the queen a few times in the last week. Unfortunately the queen was
so upset over her daughters disappearance, and the fact that telephones didn't
exist in the Middle Ages, did not reply. Because of this the prince was furious,
giving our hero a nice diversion. And so he slipped away and ran out of the
castle to find his friends in the far off land of Fwixit.
